Feeling such sympathy for him, Cherish gently mopped the sweat off his brow. When she looked at Carlos's handsome face, she couldn't help but stretch out her hand to him.

His eyes and brows were so perfectly formed. They were so clean. 'A face of rare clean and handsome five senses, ' she thought.

Cherish understood that the world was complex. People were always wearing masks. When they took these off, they might even be completely different people underneath. Especially in the higher social classes, people were clever, sophisticated, and accomplished. But when she had first met Carlos, she had found that he was different.

He was clear like water, which was a quality rarely seen among the high society. Cherish knew with certainty that Carlos was aware of the rules of the higher class, but he still chose to live with sincerity and integrity. That was why she had fallen in love with him at first sight. He was so different.

She gently stroked his face. Her fingers moved on a gentle exploration from his eyebrows to his lips.

It had to be said that when a person fell in love with another person, everything about that person seemed to be the most perfect creation in the world.

As she became immersed in Carlos's handsome looks. Leah's voice sounded from outside. ”Are you okay, Cherish?” she asked.

Fortunately, the room was quite well-insulated, and the sound was not particularly loud, nor did it disturb Carlos's sleep.

Cherish was taken aback by Leah's words. She quickly withdrew her hand, and then froze for a moment. When she saw that Carlos was still in a deep sleep, she turned around and said to the door, ”Auntie Leah, don't worry. Everything is okay. I'm talking to Carlos.”

”Well, I see. Have fun, you two,” Leah said with a smile and then left as soon as she heard that they were busy talking.

Cherish was not good at lying, so she blushed after the false words. But after she heard no further sound from beyond the door, she felt relieved.

After all, Carlos had told her that he didn't want anyone to know about his condition.

Whether it was because he was afraid that his family would worry about him or for other more personal reasons, he must have had a reason to do so.
