Chapter 1213 A Wise Man (1/2)
”Mr. Gu, what do you mean?”
Carlson stared at him through the hazy car cabin in confusion. The space was filled with lazy tendrils of smoke that Ethan had exhaled, so Carlson could not see his expression clearly.
”You don't know what I mean? If you are so scared, why not just kill him? What else can you do?”
Although Carlson was quite used to fighting and killing since he lived in a world of violence, he had never even considered murdering Bill. He was shocked at hearing this suggestion from Ethan.
”Mr. Gu, you'd better not make such a joke. It's not a laughing matter. I...”
”What makes you think that I'm joking? Darren and Bill will eventually end up killing each other. The battle won't stop until one is dead. How many of either of their underlings will survive this? If you want to live through this, you should just kill him,”
Ethan said flatly, as if he was explaining the weather to a child.
But Carlson was still gob smacked that Ethan would dare to even breathe such words.
After all, everyone knew that Ethan was Bill's right hand man, and surely he would be the last person on earth to betray Bill.
Carlson didn't understand how Ethan had reached this train of thought, so he didn't dare to reply lest Ethan was testing him.
However, Ethan sneered, ”How do you still plan on staying alive when you're such a coward? You don't even dare to think of taking Bill's life. Won't you even dream of surviving?”
Hearing what he said, Carlson considered his options for the first time in his life. Eventually, it seemed that he had made up his mind to hitch his star to Ethan. He said to Ethan, ”Mr. Gu, in fact, I really want to keep on living. In the future, I will listen to you and follow your instructions.”
Ethan smiled. 'He is not too stupid, after all. And this duffer has some reason for sitting in this position, ' he thought to himself.
'He is a wise man.'
