Jacob eagerly turned around. He thought that Emily might have decided to come to him, since the hour was so late. He was about to walk towards her, but he was shocked witless by what happened next.

Hanging up the phone, Jacob looked at the investigative report on Darren's drugging of Emily from that night. It was lying open on the table before Jacob. A merciless and cruel expression appeared on his face. ”Darren, you can't blame me for what is going to happen to you next.”

Since Darren dared to hurt Emily, Jacob would see Darren destroyed without mercy.

Almost at the same time, Darren was talking to the bodyguard he had bought off.

”What?”

Darren suddenly turned around, clenching the lighter in his hand tightly, and said in surprise, ”Emily is hiding inside Jacob's villa?”
