Chapter 1030 Ive Let Go Of Him (2/2)
Emily was deeply conflicted and her face conveyed an arresting spectrum of ambivalent emotions. If Louis had not come back for her at the right time, Emily's suffering would have lasted a lot longer.
”Yvonne! Yvonne! Emily?”
Louis
happy.”
Louis tried to cheer Emily up by mentioning the two children to her again. He couldn't bear to see her sullen.
”I'll go and freshen up first,” she said with a smile.
Thinking of her children, Emily immediately put aside the fact that she had been hurt by Jacob. She gritted her teeth and tried to sit up, completely oblivious to the fact that she had not made any movement for three days. Just when she was about to sit up, she felt a sharp pain in her legs and feet, forcing her back in bed with a loud groan.
”Well, I have an idea. Let me take you out for shopping and a massage. Then you can welcome your beloved children when you're ready, okay?”
Louis pretended to rub his eyes as he spoke because he didn't want her to see his tears. With a faint smile on his lips, he tried to comfort Emily with some caring words while gently massaging her calves.
'I can't allow her to waste away like this!' Louis decided.
”Okay... Sure,”
Emily replied in a low voice. Louis didn't know that Emily had seen the tears in his eyes and she felt overwhelmed by feelings of guilt.
'I shouldn't have made him worry about me so much, ' she thought bitterly.
After they got into the car, Emily sat next to Louis. ”How bad do I look now?” she whispered to him as she tugged at his arm with a perturbed expression on her face.
Emily was just about to look at herself in the rear-view mirror when she was stopped by Louis. With a sarcastic smile, he said to her gently, ”You don't need to do that. You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.”
