As the receptionist kept gawking at her in shock, Michelle hung up the call and walked upstairs.

”If you have something to say, just say it and leave. Don't waste my time!” Jacob's words were harsh, but he expressed them in a tone of exceptional grace. Despite his polite demeanor, Michelle could still feel the malice behind his words, which caught her by surprise.

Although she was not so happy with his attitude, she decided to let it go. Besides, Jacob's attitude towards Emily was far worse in comparison.
