He sat beside her, lifted her legs onto his lap, took off her high heels, and massaged her feet.

He knew that Emily had walked around all day with Rita, and that she must be very exhausted.

Feeling a tingling sensation in her legs, Emily let out a sigh of pleasure. ”Why didn't you wake me up when you came back from the meeting?”

”How can I wake you up when you're having some well-deserved rest, you little fool?” Jacob said dotingly.

”Well, that makes sense. Because if you wake me up while I'm sleeping, I'll be

”Well, I don't know. Maybe we'll see what he is up to as things unfold.” Jacob put down Emily's legs and drew her closer, letting her lay her head on his lap.

Darren hadn't done anything harmful to the Xu company yet, so Jacob and David had to remain calm and still. Time would tell them what Darren's hidden agenda was.

”Yeah,” Emily replied in low spirits. She lifted her hand and caressed Jacob's perfectly-sculpted chin, then said, ”Rita doesn't know anything about it at all. I hope that maybe we're just overthinking it.”

”There is no need to worry about Rita. She has David around to take good care of her. What you need to be careful of is that postcard you received. Let's check who wrote it, shall we?” Jacob smiled as he traced the outline of her delicate nose with his slender finger.

Then, Jacob sent Sam to find a sample of Nora's handwriting.

Sam worked fast. Within half a day, a letter in Nora's handwriting was brought to Emily's office.

However, after Emily carefully compared Nora's handwriting with the words on the postcard, she realized that Nora wasn't the one who had written the postcard, because the letters looked totally different.
