Chapter 800 It Is Your Own Flesh And Blood! (1/2)
”Emily...” When Carol saw Emily walking in, she felt relieved. Then she said, ”I thought that you had already left...”
”I am not going anywhere, because I will be here to take good care of you.” Sitting on a chair next to the bed in the ward, Emily asked Carol with a soft voice, ”Is there something you want to tell me? If so, then please don't hold back. Let me know what's on your mind.”
”Oh, it's nothing.” Carol held her hands and said, ”I will start to feel better if I get to see you more often. Emily, promise me that you won't leave your mother again? I just can't stand living without you...”
Emily's eyes glazed over with unshed tears almost instantaneously. How could she refuse such a request?
”Of course, I promise I will never leave you.”
Jacob stood at the corner with a deadpan expression, while a faint feeling of discomfort arose in his heart. At first, it was Tyron, and now Carol. All of them wanted Emily for themselves.
Did the entire Fang family have some sort of a grudge against him?
What was it with people with the surname, Lu... Were any of them actually good people?
If Jacob didn't have to take Emily's feelings into consideration, he would have driven all these people out of Z country, barring them from ever entering Jingshi City again.
While mother and daughter casually chatted inside, their peaceful moment was unexpectedly interrupted by a noise from outside the ward.
Emily, sighing in frustration, knitted her delicate eye-brows, angered by the thought that Carol wouldn't be able to rest peacefully.
”Jacob, can you please go outside and check what's going on?”
Jacob turned around about to go outside when he saw Tyron standing behind him. Afraid of leaving Emily alone with the nephew and the auntie of the Fang family, Jacob hesitated, as if he were having second thoughts.
Who knew what the two of them would say to deceive Emily? Jacob wouldn't allow this to happen.
Turning around, he said, ”Dr. Fang should go and check outside. I'm sure he has more authority here, since we're in a hospital.” Jacob hinted at Tyron unceremoniously.
