Chapter 733 You Are Looking For Death (2/2)
”Mommy, I miss you, too.” Beryl answered, her voice trembling. And, she continued, ”I already know in my heart that you are really my mother. I always feel your love and care... I just don't know why I keep rejecting you.”
Patting Beryl's back, Emily said comfortingly, ”Shh... Sweetie, what happened before doesn't matter anymore. They are all in the past. What matters now is your acceptance and recognition. For that, I am very happy. This is one of the happiest days in my life. This is one of the best things in this world.”
everyone was going against her. Thus, she was blaming others for her unlucky situation.
In the end, all her frustrations manifested in her shout. ”Where did the damned little monk go?” Feeling so mad, Ancho felt that she would blow up anytime. With the disappearance of Beryl, she had no more ace in her hand! That worried her a lot! How could she put her plan into action without her star cast?!
She didn't dare go to the police.
No, she couldn't. Though the thought really came to her mind.
The knowledge of what might happen once she reported to the police that she lost Beryl scared her. She knew that the Gu family would immediately learn about the situation. Once that happened, punishment would surely come her way!
Already too exhausted but could not stop looking, Ancho kept on walking along the sidewalk. She promised herself that once she found Beryl, she would give her a severe hashing. She thought that Beryl definitely deserved to hear them anyway.
Unfortunately, she couldn't raise a hand on Beryl. Or else, the little girl would definitely learn a terrible lesson!
Preoccupied with so many thoughts as to how to get back to Beryl once found, Ancho didn't notice a car running too fast. It passed by the puddle of water right next to where she was standing. It splashed on her! Unfortunately, the water was a little bit muddy.
Ancho looked like a drenched chicken!
She yelled at the top of her lungs cursing the speeding car. She didn't care anymore about her manner. Proper behavior be damned. She only stopped when she could no longer see the car. Frustrated, she squeezed the water from her clothes to the best that she could. Then, she continued looking for Beryl despite her body being visible due to her wet clothes.
When she was about to give up after walking for a couple of hours, she finally saw someone familiar at the intersection.
Running towards the figure, she called out, ”Beryl? Stop!”
