Chapter 699 Extra Story 10 Of Sean And Cloris (1/2)
”Don't be afraid. It's me.” As soon as Cloris's brain registered the familiar voice, calm returned to her heart and her breathing became steadier. Cloris clasped onto Sean's clothes as if she were clutching at her last straw of hope.
While Sean, her knight in shinning armour, hid her in his warm embrace and stroked her back to soothe her. ”Don't be afraid. I am here now. These aren't real...”
”What...” Her chin trembled as tears escaped her eyes, spilling down her face, ”But..but it was so scary...”
”Didn't you just say that you're not afraid of anything?” he asked.
”But I'm afraid again now!” she yelled impatiently.
”Fine, fine...” Sean laughed and continued, ”You are always right, okay?”
Cloris buried her face in the crook of his arms, wiping her tears on his shirt. She kept her eyes close, all the while, and yelled, ”Please, get rid of those ghosts now! Please! Just chase them away or something!”
”Fine, I'll chase them away right now,” answered Sean, pulling his hand up in a placating gesture.
”Are they gone now?” Muffled sobs wracked against her chest.
”Yes, they are gone. You can open your eyes now.”
Cloris slowly squinted her eyes open, raising her head a little when Sean quickly pulled her head back to his chest and said, ”Wait! There's still one left and it's coming to get us...”
”Ah!” Cloris quickly hid herself into his embrace again, her muffled sound of whining and sobbing barely audible, ”Ah! I don't want to stay here anymore. I want to get out of here! I need to get out of here right now!”
”Okay, I'll get you out of here right now,” said Sean. He picked her up into her arms and made a run for it, trying to find the exit.
Overwhelmed by fear, Cloris could hardly keep herself together as loud screams and eerie sounds came from everywhere, tormenting her.
Sean really wanted to spend some time alone with her but since it was clear that she wasn't happy, he picked up the pace and finally made through the exit.
