Chapter 399 Vicious Little Girl (1/2)

Mark couldn't believe his eyes. Beryl was just a five-year-old. How dare she do such a thing?

”Crack!” He slammed his fist on the table in anger, and the cup fell to the ground and broke into tiny pieces.

On the way back to the villa, Mark received a phone call from his assistant. When he came to learn that Jacob had found their secret hideout, his face suddenly became dark.

”Drive fast!” Mark urged the driver, ”Ignore the red lights.”

The driver had no idea what had happened, but he had to obey the command so he stepped on the accelerator and sped home.

Mark stepped into the villa and eagerly looked for his sister. ”Tina? Tina!”

About half a minute later, Tina yawned and came downstairs with a sleepy face. ”What's up?”

Mark noticed the new scar on her arm at first glance. His pupils shrank, and he pulled her close to him. ”Where is that little thing? How dare she hurt you with a knife!”

Not only Emily and Jacob, but even their daughter annoyed him as well.

Tina frowned and said, ”Mark, you were secretly watching me?”

”Of course I am. If I hadn't kept my eyes on you, how would I know what happened!” Mark added furiously, ”What the hell were you thinking?”

Mark had imagined several other possible scenarios, but he never thought that the truth would be so far from his speculation. If he hadn't caught them on the surveillance cameras, he wouldn't have believed that Tina got attacked by a five-year-old child.

”What was I thinking...” Stunned, Tina repeated his words under her breath. In truth, she didn't know what to say to him.

Beryl was no longer the harmless and innocent child she used to be.
