8 Chapter 7. The Meeting~ Part 2 (2/2)

”No....” Nathaniel cleared his throat uncomfortably and looked at everyone in the room, before continuing what he was saying.

”... it can make us good profits.”

Vanessa frowned as she realised that she had zoned out again and tried to focus on the conversation, instead of his deep voice.

”That's it then, the deal is done.” As Glen stand up from his chair, everyone followed suit and Vanessa smiled as she watched her father and uncle hug each other, the old best friends coming back together.

This couldn't have gone any better. Vanessa grinned as the two sides of rivalry shook hands and exchanged hearty smiles as they congratulated each other.

Vanessa looked at Jack and held out her hand for him to shake and he grinned, before throwing his arms around her, instead of shaking hands with her. Vanessa couldn't help but giggle at his over excitement and thumped him on the back lightly.

”Idiot.”

The meeting was officially over, the deal had been signed and now it's time for the committee of the Survin's to depart.

George was the last to depart and Vanessa couldn't resist the chance to see her father, before he left, so she followed him outside.

As soon as she stepped out of the glass doors, she hollered for her father, who was about to sit in the car and George's face lit up on seeing her.

”What are you doing here, Ms. Jones? Are you slacking off from your work?” George teased her as she throw herself in his arms and Vanessa rolled her eyes at him.

”Daaad...”

”Yes, my precious.”

”Shut up.” Vanessa glowered at him and George chuckled as she snuggled into his arms and tapped her head lovingly.

”Your wish is my command, Vinni!”

”Vinni?”

They froze instantly at the very familiar voice and both turned to look towards him, and Vanessa couldn't help the gasp that escape her as her eyes meet chocolate brown ones.

Oh my god!
