Chapter 67 - Fluffy One & Fluffy Two (2/2)
“The Scarlet Sky Tiger goes by the name of Fluffy One and the Stormphantom Panther, Fluffy Two. Do a barrel roll, Fluffy One and Fluffy Two, you do a handstand!” The tiger proceeded to a little roll on the floor. Meanwhile, the panther, who did not know what a handstand was, proceeded to lay on its back with its feet pointing toward the air.
“I told you to do a handstand, not point your feet up in the air.” Ye Chen burst out laughing.
The panther groaned and looked at Ye Chen with an apologetic face. It did not understand what a handstand was.
“This is my first time seeing such obedient creatures.” Ye Changxuan and Ye Zhantian marveled in amazement. Even the men on the castle wall were equally surprised.
It would be amazing if the two rank nine beasts could aid the clan in their war. Ye Changxuan and Ye Zhantian were overjoyed. With such a power by the side, the Ye Clan would not have to fear the Yun Clan any further. They would not have to worry about Donglin County at all.
Ye Meng and the rest of the youths got down from the wall.
“Why did you guys come down here?” Ye Changxuan looked at Ye Meng and the rest sternly.
“We came to see the tiger and the panther, Grandpa!” These lots had not seen a tiger before and so, neither of them were afraid of the tiger. On the contrary, they were quite daring boys, all expressing curiosity toward the creature.
“Elder chief, is it true that they’re harmless?” Ye Ming looked eager to pet them.
“It’s true. Don’t worry about it, without my command, they would never hurt a single soul!” Ye Chen grinned.
Ye Meng, Ye Ming, and the rest of the boys walked over to pet the tiger and the panther. After confirming that neither of them would hurt the boys, the lots cheered. Some were like curious cats, circling the creatures to get a closer look at them. While the Scarlet Sky Tiger and the Stormphantom Panther were on their fours, they sometimes even licked the people affectionately.
“You know, I think the names Fluffy One and Fluffy Two aren’t menacing enough. The tiger should be renamed to Almighty Tiger.”
“What about the Stormphantom Panther?”
“It’s yellow, lithe, and lean. He should be the Great Hornet.”
“Ew, I prefer Fluffy One and Fluffy Two!” Ye Meng’s childlike side was beginning to show. The boys were now eagerly engaged in a conversation.
The rest of the people could not contain their curiosity too. All of them got down from the wall to look at the beasts, clearly amazed. Now that the two magnificent rank nine beasts had earned the kids’ affection, the adults could not wait to meet them. They all went up to pet the two felines. Seeing how docile the Scarlet Sky Tiger and the Stormphantom Panther were, the people were no longer afraid of them.
It seemed the people were receptive to the creatures. Soon, Fluffy One and Fluffy Two should be able to assimilate themselves nicely into the clan. Ye Chen deliberately distanced himself from the beasts so that the rest could play with them. His Astral Body could feel Fluffy One and Fluffy Two’s Psyche kicking in and so, he was not afraid that the two would go against his words.
“Little Chen, how are these two in terms of combat prowess?” Ye Changxuan asked. Now that he had seen how docile the two felines were, he was a little doubtful of their combat abilities.
“Grandpa, I guarantee you that their strengths are on par with a rank nine combatant!” Ye Chen reassured.
Ye Changxuan was beaming deep down now that the clan had two additional rank nine guardians. After all, who in Donglin County would ever keep beasts as guardians anyway?
“Zhantian, I’m going to head down to the kitchen to cook some food for Fluffy One and Fluffy Two!” Ye Changxuan then happily walked away, his footsteps clearly lighter.
