Chapter 320: Encounter With Legendary Sworn Brothers (1/2)

'Weaponry, eh?'

Miaomiao thought of the dungeon master and CJ, who were living in the underground under the imperial palace. As the guy had promised that he would sell him stuff, Miaomiao wondered if he could make a deal with this hidden protagonist.

Most Chinese novels focused on adventure, traveling to new places, challenging stronger foes, or advancing to a higher level land as if they were playing some sort of games. They usually went from point A to point B, point C, then the next, and etc. Rarely, they returned to their hometown or old places. Thus, only a handful of kingdom-building, farming, or dungeon managing type protagonists existed among thousands of web novels.

Miaomiao wondered if both Liu Bian and the dungeon master connected in some ways as both seemed to possess kingdom-building traits.

Though he suspected that the mysterious dungeon master might become his enemy in the future, he had no choice but to befriend the dude at the moment since they needed weapons and armors for the beasts, monks, and orcs to help defend the city.

”I have an idea.”

Miaomiao proposed his plan. He would revisit Red Sun City and meet the mysterious guy to procure more weapons and tools. He also emptied his stash, allowing the local population to temporarily use his low-grade, medium-grade, and high-grade items in exchange for their services.

Listening to Miaomiao's idea, the elders agreed. Jia Shan also didn't forget what he could do there.

He remembered about the Liu Clan's vault. If Miaomiao had planned to go back there, he might as well revisit the underground pylon tower with Liu Guang to fetch another artifact.

”Venerable Zhao, could I ask you to accompany Miaomiao to Red Sun City? Last time, we ran into several 7th-stage undead monsters, and none of us was capable of using light element. If you go with Miaomiao, we can eliminate those skeleton soldiers and secure a path to the Imperial Clan's Vault.”

The old monk, Zhao Bao, had a solemn expression when Jia Shan mentioned undead beings. He nodded and shook his head.

”Amitabha. Due to this monk's monastery duty, this monk cannot accept this task. However, I shall send my trusty disciple to follow you.”

Zhao Bao had been busy as of late. Because of the new monastery construction and the discipline of the new orc monks, this 8th-stage monk's jobs and projects had been piling up. Even with the sect master's help, they still lacked the manpower to watch over their disciples.

However, one of his disciples might be able to help Miaomiao.

Ten minutes later, Zhao Bao brought Fogan, the former warchief of Red Orcs. Currently, he wore oversized monk robes, which cover his giant physique. His bald head, sharp eyes, large jaw, and muscular build reminded Miaomiao of Shaolin monks instead of regular Buddhist monks.

Fogan held his hands in a prayer position and bowed to the elders and Miaomiao.

”This monk is Fogan. I shall accompany Sir Mao in my master's stead.”

The orc's bright pupils were different from the lewd look when he first arrived at this continent. He had turned a new leaf after he had tasted the Buddha's teaching. However, he, like other orcs, severed his manhood to avoid trouble from his lustful nature.

Without a member between his legs, his demeanor and manner got softer and calmer.

Miaomiao gazed at this nascent soul realm orc. Sensing the cultivation base and the tinge of light element Qi within the latter's dantian, he nodded in approval.

”Can this senior monk handle a hundred death knights at once?”

Fogan revealed his teeth. Though he was smiling, he looked like a wild animal that bore fangs at his foes, ”That won't be a problem. I have learned the correct path of life, and I shall prove it with my new element Qi!”

The orc chanted incomprehensible words and closed his eyes. A second later, his red skin shone in white light, releasing warm air and soothing everybody's mind.

Zhao Bao explained Fogan's skill, ”This is our sect's purification chant. It can purity evil spirits and heal nearby mortals. As long as Fogan keeps chanting this sutra, no undead being can hurt him and his allies.”

Miaomiao gave Fogan and Zhao Bao a thumps up. With this orc as his assistant, he should be able to get back to the shadow realm.

Liu Guang, Miaomiao, and Fogan departed the city, heading to Red Sun City.

Miaomiao had already extracted a drop of Ju Xie's blood in a vial. He had no idea whether he could reactivate the mysterious gate in the shadow realm with Ju Xie's blood and Liu Guang's blood, but he had to try.

Liu Guang's cultivation base had already reached the late stage of the foundation establishment realm. She had no problem flying and keeping up with Miaomiao and Fogan. After flying for a few minutes, they reached Chicken Ann City, which was located west of Red Sun City.

As the group of three was about to bypass the city air space, three grown men suddenly appeared before them, blocking their flight path.

One of them was shorter than the other two, whose height was as tall as Fogan. Moreover, both of the tall guys were 8th-stage experts!

The short guy was 175cm tall but he had delicate-looking skin as if he never went outside of his house for decades. His earlobes were oddly long, which even touched his cheeks. His arm length also reached his shins, similar to baboons or chimpanzees. Fortunately, his facial layout and his handsome face made up for his irregular stature.

Still, this group leader was a nascent soul cultivator. The twin blades behind his back also leaked the air of heaven-grade weapons.

At the left of this baboon-man, the giant man's face was as red as Fogan. His tanned skin, long straight beard that reached his stomach, thick eyebrows, green bandana, green robes, and a glaive resembled a legendary figure in Miaomiao's world.

On the right, the paled and alcohol-reeking giant had a messy full beard, roughly tied topknot, burly chest, and bulging muscle. His only clothes were his chest plate and thick leather pants, which didn't match with the cultivation world settings. He also carried a 6-meter long spear, which twisted like a snake.

Looking at these three men, Miaomiao had the urge to scream in a panic.
