Chapter 302: Temporarily Dungeon Diving (1/2)

Imperial Palace, the forbidden place that local cultivators and commoners could never enter unless they were strong enough.

Unlike the Forbidden City in China, the Imperial Palace of Red Sun City was separated into four major buildings; Summer, Spring, Autumn, and Winter.

The entire Summer Palace was made of gemstones, marble plates, and crystal-like metal. The floor glittered under the sunlight, which made it uncomfortable to look around.

This was the palace that Miaomiao had sneaked in. As this place was lightly guarded because of its environment, he picked this place as a starting point.

In stealth mode, Miaomiao searched for the entrance to the underground level. However, the light reflection from the ground, pillars, walls, and the decorations of the palace made it difficult for Miaomiao to maintain his transparent form. The reflection light distorted around Miaomiao, and the shape of his body became visible.

Fortunately, no guard bothered looking or using their sense to scan the palace. They simply stood outside the building, yawning and dozing off, avoiding the flashy reflection light in the palace.

Miaomiao was relieved, but he still complained in his mind.

'This place is stupid! Why did they have to make it so bright!? My eyes hurt!'

Looking around in this palace was impossible as the dazzling light blinded him. Miaomiao had to close his eyes and used his Qi sense to see the way.

It didn't take long for Miaomiao to locate a trap door. The entrance was hidden under the most luxurious chamber's king-sized bed.

The flippable bed revealed the stairs to the underground passage. Miaomiao walked down the stairs right away.

The stairs led to a long corridor tunnel. It was similar to the Silver Phoenix Sect's underground passage, but the wall design looked familiar.

The modern brick walls were too neat and clean. The floor was also smooth as if someone had been waxing them every day. With every step that Miaomiao walked, he had to be mindful. Otherwise, he would have slipped and fell.

It reminded him of the Tang Clan's underground maze. Although the Tang Clan's floor wasn't as clean as the imperial palace's underground tunnel, the design was the same.

'Did they hire the same engineer? That can't be, right?'

Ding

[FYI, there is a log file that your ex-sponsor has left behind. It might relate to the underground design.]

[Unfortunately, it is encrypted, and I can only open it after you have completed the current protagonist hunt quest. I've also detected another hidden condition, but I can't access it with my current power.]

'How do I upgrade you or make you stronger?'

[Cultivate a Luck Core or forge a Heavenly Fate Fragment. I'm operated by your luck points, so I can only get stronger as long as you cultivate luck.]

[For a starter, if you become a monk like Zhao Bao, cultivating luck will be a lot easier. But I doubt you are willing to stop having sex for over 24 hours, so that occupation isn't compatible with your lifestyle and character.]

Miaomiao was happy that Dion was more honest than the devil sponsor. Still, she was too direct sometimes.

'I'll keep that in mind. Cultivating luck, eh?'

Wei Yuan had told Miaomiao that she had been farming luck points even though she had no idea what it could do. Last night, when Miaomiao summoned Wei Yuan to the ITS, she already had over 400 points of luck.

By now, she might have gotten more than 500 from completing trivial quests.

Miaomiao also wanted to do the same, but he got stuck with the main quest at the moment.

To exploit the luck system, Miaomiao needed to complete the main quest first. Then, he could generate random quests like how Wei Yuan had been doing.

Although creating side-quests with Dion was doable, but the luck point consumption was five times higher than creating a main quest, which wasn't worth the investment.

So far, all side-quests were created by dao gods, so they footed the luck point bills and reward prizes. However, if Miaomiao were to do the same, he would lose luck points instead of gaining them.

'Annoying main quest… I guess I have to find Wang Diaochan and strip her. If she's Liu Bian, I'll just kill the bitch and steal her HFP. If she's legit… Welp, more loli to screw!'

Miaomiao got motivated. He hovered over the slippery floor and flew inside the passage, increasing the pace.

As Miaomiao rushed forward, he didn't stop scanning his surroundings for hidden caves, tunnels, or traps.

A minute later, he reached a familiar-looking square room with three doors, leading to a different direction. It was the same as Tang Clan's underground maze, but the color of these doors was odd.

Each door was painted with unknown blood. At the center of each door, an English alphabet was written with white paint.

It would have been understandable if each door was written with a different alphabet, but two of them had the same character.

One door had the alphabet ”A”.

The other two had ”S”.

A

S

S

'Ass?'

Miaomiao frowned and used his Qi sense to scan further behind the doors, hoping to find clues where they might lead him. However, his sense and vision were blocked by mysterious Qi within the underground stone walls, bricks, and stones.

Realizing that he couldn't cheat, Miaomiao looked around further, searching for hints.

Written on the center of the floor was an English sentence. It read; ”Only the cultured ass-man can find the right path.”

”…”

Instead of divulging in the puzzle, the corner of Miaomiao's mouth couldn't stop twitching.

Everything that had been written here indicated that there was an unknown otherworlder on this continent, and he might be the creator of this maze.

'System, is there a dungeon master protagonist detail in the devil's hidden log files?'

[I can't read the log files. I can't confirm it.]

'Too bad.'

Miaomiao couldn't confirm the existence of a dungeon master type protagonist, but he was confident that a transmigrator had created this dungeon for sure.

Still, it was not the time to get sidetracked by the dungeon master or otherworlder. Miaomiao had to figure where Ju Shoufen and others had gone, and how where he could find the clues.
