10 10.Finally proper vacation,yay (1/2)

The sun set slowly and it was wondrous. The colors were not the same as outside this place.This reminded me of domes I saw on the net.The sun was not as strong but at the same time the colors are more like pastel.I guess we won't be able to see the night sky and the stars.But thinking clearly.We all live in the city and truthfully, you can't really see stars from all those city lights.So no big loss.

I watched the sky having various colors and remembered my promise.I took my phone and made a few pictures. Ofc there is no net.If this thing can stop the satellites see us ,So that means its strong enough to stop any kind of waves.Including the internet and radio.But that was ok. Ill just send him pictures when I get back to the room.

After I finished taking pictures of the sunset I sat down and tried to get some fishes.In that moment I could feel a tug on the line.It surprised me for sec ,but I got my grip back on and I slowly reeled it in.The fish I caught was big enough for the three of us.The size was huge.It took me a while til I got him on shore.I started shouting so the kids came to help me.

''Mom.Wow.Isn't this bit too much for us?It is waste to kill it if we can't eat it.''

''It truly is too big.Lets get it back into the lake.I didn't realize how big it is.''

Her boyfriend swallowed hard looking sadly at the big fish.

''We should not waste resources.Its is enough if I catch something smaller.And if not we still have those dry noodles and seasonings.Its ok.You won't be hungry.Accept that,you two could go and get some fruits.The fruits here taste amazing.'' I said while pulling the fish back to the lake.As soon it touched the water it started wiggling and it didn't take much time it made his way back into the lake.

I stared at it and choose a different spot.I told myself if I don't catch anything in next 30 min I'll just give up and eat noodles and fruits for dinner.

I looked around and found rock protruding out of water.The water there was shallow so I hoped I could catch something smaller.I sat on rock,put my feet into the water and cast my line not far from the spot.As the light got less and less,the birds got quieter. Of course, at night there will be other like owls.So the evening was not creepily quiet. The sound of the waterfall,the slight wind through trees and few night animals made just fine background.

I stared at the disappearing light and gave up fishing.I pulled the line in.Got off the rock and went back to the camp.It was not disappointing.I can live without it.Its not like there is nothing else to eat. I just will eat fruits and the things we brought.I am just fine with it.

When I came back, Chi Chi came to me happily holding a bunch of things in her hands.

''Mom we found so many good things.We even found pineapple and sweet potatoes.I think I saw tomatoes but I am not sure.We can check out the surrounding tomorrow.''I guess it was a good idea she came with me.Lately she works a lot as well and I hoped she could take some vacation but she never did.This place will be good for her.

''Ok. Tomorrow we shall explore the surroundings.Check for mushrooms as well.It is possible.But kids I think I should tell you something.''I said while looking at them seriously.

''What is it?Is there any danger?''she said looking around uncomfortably.

''You think those three ghosts would not kick the alarm if there was,''I said pointing at cats that slept near fire.The ate their fill and now they are in modus of cats...sleeeep.''No I feel that we hit jackpot this time.Think about it.I am lazy person but after drinking some water I almost run all the way over here.And the fruits we ate? The air we breathe in?It seems that this place was inhabited before.But by who and why now no one lives here anymore?''

''Mom do you remember the other island when you checked it out with the drone. Maybe answer lies on one of those islands.We should go back and get the drone.Just in case something happens.''

''No need.On way here I already had this taught, that's why I checked the surroundings and didn't see anything that would indicate any human coming on this island lately.But indeed we should get the drone and check out the island while you are around.But not now.I want to stay here for few days.This place is perfect for camping and vacation.''

As I ate the noodles I got in deep thinking.What if,just what if there are aliens or any other intelligent life form holding the dome together.But what purpose does it have to keep this kind of environment?And one more important question...Why me?

The kids went back to sleep ,but I stayed up for long time thinking about why and what for...It made me thin as well about that countdown.Will this dome collapse after it ends or will the original world end?If it is about the dome is it possible to stop it and keep this place safe?I wish I could get some information ..Any information.

I planned to go to sleep but I suddenly felt dirty.I guess it was about the time.I didn't feel any bad smell but I just felt kind of unclean.I went to the creek to take a bath.I took peace of aloe with me that my daughter found earlier,took my clothes off and went in.Now question.Why not a lake?It is dark.No stars,no moonshine.I ain't gonna swim in the lake when is so dark.Accept that,kids already washed in this place so it seems to be safe.
