Chapter 37 So Shocked (1/2)
Knocking out of his shocked dazed, Eli Sato lightly coughs composing herself.
So, she was a new hire huh?
It was his first time witnessing someone with such a unique appearance at work, not to prominently mention being so young.
”I apologize for my offensive behavior a minute ago,” He laughs nervously. ”I'd be happy to welcome you to our department, Mimi!”
”En,” Mimi replied curtly.
Chuckling delightedly at her brief response, Eli gently shakes his head. He couldn't help but instantly find her to be similar to the big boss.
”Then let's get started,” He said delightedly. ”Juno, I can naturally take it from here. I'm guessing you're quite busy with tasks to do.”
Looking hesitant, Juno sharply narrows his eyes towards Eli before looking at Mimi who honestly looked like she didn't care who helped her.
”I bid farewell to Ms. Mimi,” He nods his head. ”If you need anything, be sure to ask and I'll be happy to assist.”
”Mm take care,” Mimi nods in return.
Juno shoots a warning glare towards Eli, who in response arches his brows up with his hands up in defense clearly saying he won't be foolish.
Sighing hopelessly, Juno merely bids good day once more before leaving.
”That Juno is such a worrier,” Eli chuckles while looking thoughtfully in the young assistant's direction.
Not expressing anything in response, Mimi watches as the young man - both his hands on the ample hip of his pale crinkled shirt.
”I guess I should direct you around,” He laughs gaily. ”Follow me,”
…
”This will be your working area,” He said. ”You'll be working next to two other people. They're currently on break, but I'll be sure to have one of them help you out.”
Looking at her new working area, Mimi couldn't help but admire the desks greatly.
The tiled wood was smooth and clean appearing brand new, the chair looked comfortable and sitting on top of the desk was a smooth advanced desktop.
Standing in front was a short wall separating each of the desks from one another, but if one were to crane their neck or stand they could see the person on the other side clearly.
”I know it's cramped for working but, believe me, you'll get used to it.” He chuckles delightedly.
Small? For goodness, the desk was enormous and spacious!
