Chapter 9 (2/2)

Lin Dong had a bright expression, as if he had learned something new.

At this moment, the battleship had already arrived at the location that Lin Dong had previously set up. It had changed its direction to deploy reactors, but the other reactors were not responding.

It seemed that it was really caused by meteorites earlier.

In order to be on the safe side, Lin Dong turned on the imaging map of the detection radar and pointed at a new coordinate.

“Thunder Flash, activate the signal jammer and head toward this place.”

After giving the command, Lin Dong turned around and explained, “Although the reactors have no feedback and it’s very likely that we have encountered a group of meteorites, we aren’t sure that if someone has detected the reactor and deliberately misled us. Therefore, we should go further away.”

“If there’s danger, we should head in another direction.”

Lorne smiled at Lin Dong, somewhat gloating over his misfortune.

Clearly, Lorne was mocking Lin Dong for being timid.

However, Lin Dong’s action also piqued Lorne’s interest. Having a sensitive and cautious successor was ultimately better than having an idiot successor.

“Your actions will reward you. While there’s still time, I’ll tell you more about my Spark battleship so that you will not be embarrassed by others and fall to the lower ranks.”

When Lorne’s words came out, Lin Dong raised his eyebrows as he felt astonished in his heart.

In Lin Dong’s previous life, he did not receive such treatment. It seems like the butterfly effect was beginning to show signs.

Fortunately, the changes were good.

Lorne first asked a question, “The ancestor of our human civilization is actually a seed fleet of a defeated civilization. Do you know what a seed fleet is?”

Lin Dong nodded.

He knew this. When a civilization developed to a certain extent, it would start to expand and send out pioneer fleets.

When a civilization was on the brink of extinction, if they wanted to preserve the seeds of their civilization, they would send out seed fleets.

“Our ancestors rode on battleships. After thousands of years of escape, they were lucky to find the ruins of a prehistoric super civilization in space. After a long period of exploration, we obtained the inheritance of the ruins. The seed fleet obtained the authority to use a mysterious creation, the All spark.

“After that, combined with the technology of our own race, the essence was extracted from the All spark and fused with the battleship. Thus, the Spark battleship was born.”

When Lorne spoke up to this point, he had an extremely respectful expression.

Lin Dong was stunned for a moment. He had only heard some rumors regarding the history of the human civilization.

This was the first time he had heard such specific news.

Especially when it was related to the Spark battleship.

“Generally speaking, the creations of different civilizations can’t be used in common. This is because each civilization’s development direction is different. Their body structure is also different and the materials used are all different,” Lorne continued to speak.

Lin Dong nodded his head to express his understanding.

It was just like how different countries on earth had different screw diameters and could not be used in common.

Let alone 2 different civilizations in the universe?

If 1 civilization used screws, the other civilization might not have screw as they forged it directly. They were civilizations which did not use screw at all.

“But the Spark battleship is different. The Spark battleship has module slots. Even if it was created by a completely different civilization system, it could still be used normally on the Spark battleship.”

“Through this method, we borrowed the core methods of other civilizations in disguise. What a great feat!”

“And this is only 1 of the characteristics of the Spark battleship.”

Originally, it was just some normal information, but at that moment, Lorne’s interest was piqued.

Lin Dong quietly listened. With his status as a miner, he could not find out about this information. If someone knew about this information, they would not easily tell others. This was a rare opportunity for Lin Dong.
