Chapter 6 (2/2)
He suddenly raised his head and met a pair of murderous eyes.
Celia stared straight at him, her whole body radiating a cold aura.
Brian, who had never dealt with women before, had never seen anything like it. He stared blankly at the perfect face.
There was an awkward silence in the car. Brian would have jumped out of the car if the car hadn’t been traveling so fast.
His mind was racing.
In a few seconds, this woman would change her opinion of him.
“Where are we? Why aren’t the lights on?”
“Oh! My eyes! Why can’t I see? I didn’t see anything.”
Looking at his exaggerated acting skills, a smile appeared on Celia’s cold face.
In the end, she could not help but burst out laughing.
Brian was tactful enough to pretend he had not heard her. He was still playing his part.
“Mr. Brian, you’re really an interesting person. Even your excuse for peeking is so unique!”
Brian stopped pretending and extended his right hand like a gentleman.
“If you’re willing to get to know me better, you’ll realize that I’m actually more interesting than I look. How about it? Are you interested in making friends?”
Celia’s nose wrinkled, but she held out her hand.
“Let’s get to know each other officially, Celia.”
“My name is Handsome Brian. You can call me Handsome or Handsome Brian.”
Seeing the stiff expression on Celia’s face, Brian reluctantly let go.
“Oh! I’m sorry, beautiful lady. You’re the only woman I’ve ever met who made me lose my composure. Your beauty made me unable to control myself. I apologize for my actions.”
Women were really peculiar creatures. No matter their age, they liked to hear compliments from others. Although Celia did not like Brian’s earlier actions, she could not help but feel pleased to hear his unabashed praise.
“You’re opening your mouth like a piano in a band, Mr. Brian.”
“Are you complimenting me?”
“You can think that way, Mr. Brian.”
After chatting for a while, the two gradually became familiar with each other.
Perhaps it was because it was a little stuffy in the car, Celia opened the window and asked curiously.
“Sir Brian! I heard from Jesse that you encountered a supernatural incident tonight. Can you tell me more about it?”
When Celia rushed over, she happened to run into Jesse and the others. She had roughly learned about the situation from them, but she felt that perhaps they were too old and saw wrongly. Therefore, she wanted to ask Brian, the person involved, what he said.
Brian stopped laughing when he heard the question.
“Someone should have died in the school building this time. There are indeed ghosts inside. Oh, that’s the supernatural incident you mentioned…”
In this way, Brian told half-truths about what had happened. Of course, he did not tell anyone about the system. He only mentined that the mirror ghost had been touched by him in the end, so it did not hurt him.
Brian had his own ideas about these things. According to the game settings of humans and ghosts, after the magically rich era, all kinds of demons and ghosts would appear. He was giving these people a warning beforehand.
As it developed to the later stages, humans could only stay in a small realm and struggle for survival. He did not want the tragedy in the game to become reality.
He knew that this woman in front of him was not simple. Perhaps if these things were spread through her, more people would know and face the impending disaster.
After listening to Brian’s story, Celia took a long time to recover.
She lowered her voice.
“Are these ghosts bleeding from their seven orifices, pale-faced and long-haired?”
Celia slowly turned around. Bright red spread down from her facial features and the wind blew in through the opened window. She was dressed in a long white robe and her pale face and long hair fluttered in the wind.
She looked back and smiled sweetly.
Oh my god, that was even more terrifying than an evil spirit.
Brian felt both angry and amused.
