18 The first Gate (1/2)

It was night when they arrived in sydney. The streets surrounding the tower held an ember glow and an eerie silence. There wasn't a person in sight.

”I delivered you, now I shall be taking my leave” spoke Tzoker, before vanishing.

They walked over to the stairs that wound it way to the top of the tower.

Nahum whistled, ” I know its not smart to teleport blindly to the top of the tower, but man it's been awhile since I've climbed over 100 flights of stairs.”

They others started climbing the stairs, ignoring him. Pouting he whined dramactly, ”Lily, do I really have ta !!!”.

Sighed Lily, stopped at the top of the first flight of stairs and turned to face him. She crossed her arms and widened stance.

Nahum, started to sweat. ” No Lily” Lily smirked. Nahum dropped to his knees, ” Lily please don't” pleading in his prayer pose, ” Anything but that”

”I dare...no, I double dog dare you to beat to the top of the stairs and I combine it with a bet that if you lose you have to shampoo cerberus.”

Breathing in deeply and releasing it in a huff. Nahum puffed up his chest and started up the stairs. Pushing pass Lily ” you know I can't pass up a dare”. Reaching the second flight of stairs he turned to Lily. Sticking out his tongue like a child, he yelled ”And I absolutely hate your mutt” before taking off sprinting to the top.

Lily laughed and took off to catch up to him with the twins following behind.

Gavish was the first to make it to the top, having jump several flights at a time. Followed by Nahum, who dramatically landed at top step.

Lily and Garvit made to the top seconds after. Stepping over Nahum.
