Li Ran was about to push the door, but it opened automatically.

Two zombies appeared. They stood still and stared at Li Ran.

Their clean appearance made Li Ran suspect that they were in the same situation as the zombies she had encountered earlier.

Li Ran took a quick glance inside. The layout of the room was exactly the same as the previous room.

It was really strange.

Li Ran raised her gun and was about to finish the zombies off. Just as she was about to pull the trigger, a hoarse voice could be heard.

“You still want to kill them? You’re really a cold-hearted woman. However, you can’t kill these two. If you do, you won’t be able to find the people you’re looking for.”

Li Ran was stunned.

She looked around but there was no one.

However, the voice was quite loud, as if it was close by.

“Don’t waste your time on me. You want to save your friends, right? Then come and clear my test. If you succeed, I’ll set them free.”

Li Ran stayed silent.

The two zombies did not move as well.

Finally, Li Ran asked, “What test?”

“You’ll find out once you come in. By the way, before this, someone else from your organization came. He failed, and you killed him earlier.”

‘How does he know so much?’

“You all have a similar card on you. That’s how I know you’re working together. Come in. Your friends are waiting for you inside.”

Li Ran hesitated for a moment. She looked at the two zombies before putting away her gun. Then, she asked, “Are they still humans?”

“Of course not. They’re my pets.”

Li Ran was confused.

“Pets?”

“Yes. My pet zombies are very obedient. They’re nothing like the filthy zombies outside.”

Li Ran had yet to enter the room.

She said impatiently, “Stop wasting my time. You can’t escape anyway..”
