Chapter 46 - Walk Openly (2/2)
When the people outside heard his words, they all looked shocked and worried.
“You can get expelled after coming into the base? What exactly happened?”
“I don’t know. It seems to be quite serious.”
“…”
Lin Nan walked to the front of Cui Chong and looked at him directly. He curled his lips and said, “Take care of yourself.”
Cui Chong smiled casually and his gaze gradually shifted to Li Ran. He then frowned and said in an astonished tone, “If I knew that you were pregnant, I would have definitely been more gentle. Well, it’s okay. I will keep that in mind in the future.”
“Don’t worry, you won’t have a chance. The army is going to toss you right into a zombie crowd.”
Lin Nan’s expression was bleak.
Cui Chong looked at the soldiers who were coming towards him. Even though they were holding guns, he did not fear them. He steadily walked out and gave a middle finger to the crowd. Cui Chong’s subordinates surrounded him and together, they exited the door.
Before he left, the smile on his face became wider.
“You’ll regret it if you ever step out of this door,” Cui Chong said to Lin Nan.
He was very arrogant, as if he had already secured victory.
Li Ran had a bad premonition about this. However, she could only frown and asked worriedly, “Those people followed him here, right?”
“Yes, there are many more of them.”
Fang Lin narrowed his eyes and sighed.
“The people who followed him are the few capable individuals. They are the group that usually goes to scour for supplies. That man is ruthless. If I weren’t here, I’m afraid that you’ll have trouble protecting the base.”
Lin Nan could not even be bothered to lift his eyelids. He retorted, “Having you guys is more than enough. It’s no big deal.”
“Thank you. You really know how to flatter me.”
Seeing that they were about to leave, Fang Qiu panicked and quickly asked, “Can I still stay here?”
Li Ran looked at her in confusion.
“Why didn’t you follow him?”
“I dare not. He will definitely kill me…”
He already dared to kill in a society ruled by law, what more in an apocalypse.
