Tang Hu came to this party only because of his grandmother. She was insisting for him to come to this party. He respected her very much so he couldn't deny her.

Initially, he was suspicious of his grandmother's motive as to why his grandmother was making so much effort so that he would show up here. He also knew Tangning didn't like to hold a big party for her birthday, a normal friends' party would be enough for her. However, he soon found out that it was definitely not the case this year.

What was so important or special this year?

He didn't know the reason.

Afterward, when he came here and found the Shen Family was here as well, moreover, he saw that Tangning wasn't looking very happy with how her birthday was being flaunted by all of these big shots. But obviously, because of the Shen Family, his grandmother organized this party this way despite the fact that her granddaughter, Tangning, was not happy. Even though Miao Jing didn't like Shen Manting, it didn't mean that Tang Qiu and Tang Hu's grandmother, Ding Jiayi had the same thoughts about the woman. They liked Shen Manting and if Tang Hu also liked her then Miao Jing's thoughts about it wouldn't matter.

Everyone knew that once Tang Hu fancied a girl then no one could raise any objection to it. Since in the end, he would have the final say regardless of who had an issue with it.

So Ding Jiayi and Tang Qiu came up with the plan to arrange this birthday party just so Shen Manting and Tang Hu could spend some time together.

Earlier when the waiter missed his step and fell causing the drinks to spill on Mo Xingjuan this was because at that moment, Shen Manting was clinging onto Tang Hu and he irritatingly pushed her away. Shen Manting was so angry seeing Tang Hu's cold and distant behaviour towards her. So to take out her frustration, she pushed the waiter who was passing nearby, who in the end, wound up falling and spilling drinks onto Mo Xingjuan.

Initially, Tang Hu wanted to leave from this party, but when he saw Mo Xingjuan's behavior towards the waiter and claimed it was her own behavior towards the caused of the accident just like a true lady from an aristocratic family, his interest was piqued.

Even though he still didn't want to bother about her since it would be troublesome. That was until he heard Tangning's voice when she called out to this young lady as 'Mo Xingjuan'. That's when Tang Hu turned and looked towards the very lady who had not only gave off the grace and respectfulness of a true lady but also had shown enough guts to reject him!

Since then the interest raised even further in his mind to know her more and then he decided that it was time to deal with Shen Manting.

Back to the present…

”You are right, it was Miss Mo who had pushed over the tower of glasses and made them spill all over Miss Shen.” Tang Hu said nonchalantly.

Mo Xingjuan's eyes widened as she looked at him in disbelief, as she was so shocked to hear his words. How could he say that? It was clearly he who had pushed her and now he was blaming her? Now she was thinking she had made the right choice by rejecting him. Why the heck would she accept this shameless underhanded man?

What she heard next though sent her mind into absolute chaos.
