11 Departure 2: The ambush (1/2)
The morning came, and the guards felt exhausted from staying awake all night, they felt the resentment building in their heart toward the fourth prince. Feeling helpless, they looked around trying to get a glimpse of hope.
Suddenly a fog started to surround them, and a killing intent was felt thick in the air making the young prince open his eyes in alarm.
”JiaYing, Bo!” he shook them, waking them up.
”Young Master?” Bo and JiaYing asked
Seeing the Fog JiaYing felt the fear creeps in her heart. She activated her ability to see through the fog, the owl eye.
In an instant, The carriage stopped moving.
Seeing through the fog, JiaYing saw the Guards moving into the forest. Hearing something carried into the air toward them, she pushed the prince swiftly down, and an arrow went through the carriage where the prince was a moment ago.
Zheng Lu mouth dropped, staring at the arrow then at JiaYing who saved him, then at Bo who closed her mouth with both her hands in fright.
”We need to leave.” JiaYing was determined to save the prince
She led them quietly outside the carriage while holding both of Lu's and Bo's hands.
”I will keep watch you both need to run through the forest.” She told them
”Where did the guard go?” Zheng Lu wondered
”they betrayed us.” The old maid sighed in disappointment
”Wow! They deserve getting starved then.” Zheng Lu happily clapped her hands
”shush! don't make a noise!” She scolded him
”Take Bo and leave I will distract them.” She told him
”What about you?” Zheng Lu asked in horror
” I must protect you.” She whispered
