Chapters Chapter 188: A blessing in disguise (pt. 2) (1/2)

-Son!

“Yes?”

-I’m proud of you.

“...”

-Thank you, son. I knew that my son was amazing, but… I didn’t think you would really grow up to be someone like this.

“Not at all, mother.”

Park Sun-ja couldn’t get used to Kang Chul-In’s almost emotionless voice.

-Don’t worry about your mother. I can’t be an obstacle in your way to becoming a great person, can I?

“...”

-Anyway, I’ll go now. It’s almost time to give Arshelly a snack.

Tuk!

The call ended.

That’s not true, mother.

Kang Chul-In didn’t agree with what Park Sun-ja had said.

Even though it was good doing these things, family was first.

Before he went to the past Kang Chul-In was a cold-blooded man who only knew to wage war, crazy in his ambition to conquer Pangaea. But now, he was different; he knew the warmth of family better than anyone.

I’ll treat you better, mother.

Vowing that to himself, Kang Chul-In put his phone back into his pocket.

“Kuku!!”

Old Man Kwon laughed.

“Even though those damned bastards almost made a disaster out of things, it seems like it was a blessing in disguise!”

“Is that so?”

“I mean, the image of our company has become amazing, and the deal that we made with the government has also become successful. Oh, and that thing… what was it called? Black dragon?”

“The bone dragon.”

“Yeah, the bone dragon! We even got the corpse of that damned beast too.”

That wasn’t it for Kang Chul-In, though.

Kang Chul-In had gone up by 3 levels in Pangaea World, and another 3 levels after killing the bone dragon.

“Anyway, Kwak-Jung. Make sure you prepare for a press conference. The time… maybe in 3 hours.”

“Huh?”

“I have something to say.”

“Huk…!”

Kwak-Jung was astonished, never knowing that the day would come where Kang Chul-in himself volunteered to go on TV.

“I won’t take in any questions from anyone, it’ll just be me speaking. Understand?”

“Hmm… Yes, milord.”

“Oh, and tell me when those idiots come back.”

“Yes.”

Ironically enough, this case could only be truly ‘concluded’ when Dorian and his party came back from the dungeon at Sejong University.

----------

Ka-chik!

Ka-chik! Ka-chik! Ka-chik!

Hundreds of cameras took pictures of Kang Chul-in.

But he wasn’t fazed.

He just stood there.

And,

“Listen well.”

Kang Chul-in opened his mouth.

“I will consider this as a terror attempt to my country South Korea, and a blatant provocation to me, Kang Chul-in.”

These words were aimed towards Alex Rothschild and Albrecht Vilhelm who were the people behind this, and was a warning towards them.

“If you want to, you can try. From now on, I will consider you guys as enemies, and make sure that you pay the price. Whether it's in Pangaea, or on Earth. No matter what measures I need to take, I will take my revenge, and make sure that it’ll be hundreds, thousands of times worse than what you did to me.”

It was a declaration of war.

Using the mass media, Kang Chul-in had just declared war on Alex Rothschild and Albrecht Vilhelm, knowing that doing this would definitely reach their ears.

“Be prepared.”

Saying that, Kang Chul-in left the press conference.

“D-Director Kang! Wait a minute!”

“W-What do you mean by that statement!?”

“How are you planning to take revenge…”

“Do you know the force that was behind this?”

Still, Kang Chul-in didn’t stop walking.

This was a declaration of war towards Alex Rothschild and Albrecht Vilhelm, not some sort of meeting to satisfy the curiosity of the reporters.

---------

Kang Chul-in’s press conference shook the world.

[News] Director Kang Chul-in, calls out the force behind the terror attempt!

[News] Director Kang, angered by the terror attempt… Provokes the force behind…

[News] Galaxy Corporation “will ally with the korean army, and make sure to take revenge”.

News spread throughout the world and the citizens of South Korea supported Kang Chul-in’s attempt at revenge.

It made sense.

What had happened was a terror attempt on the capital of South Korea, Seoul. The Koreans right now felt like the citizens of the U.S after the 9/11 terror attack.

5 days passed.

“What the hell are these guys doing?”

Inside an office of the Galaxy Corporation, Kang Chul-In muttered.

“I-I don’t know, sir.”

Kwak-Jung said, cold sweat pouring down his back.

“If they don’t come back soon, I’ll go myself.”

“Maybe we should wait a little while…”
