Mrs. Yang was still silent, making her dumplings quietly.

”Mom!” Leena called her.

”Let's talk about it after he goes to high school. You can move in. It's good for us to live here.”

”I'm living with Carlson. We don't live there. How much we had hoped that we could have our own house back then? We don't have to worry about being driven out again. After all, the house is not ours. It's not comfortable to live here.

Mrs. Yang sighed, ”Don't make things difficult for me. I want to wait until Yanni goes to high school!”

Leena was also helpless. She didn't mention it anymore. She knew that she couldn't persuade her mother, not only because Yanni was still a child, but also because her mother didn't want to owe her too much.

After making the dumpling with her mother, there was still some filling left. Mrs. Yang took it back to the fridge and began to cook dumplings.

Leena followed her into the kitchen. Her mother said, ”Do you remember aunt May in the alley before?”

”Yes, I do.”

”She is selling chicken in the vegetable market. I met her a few days ago and asked her to find home-raised chicken for me so I can cook chicken soup for you. When you come back, I can make soup out of the chicken in the refrigerator I bought the day before yesterday. And when you come back next time, I can buy chicken from aunt May in advance and made chicken soup for you to drink.”

Leena nodded, ”How about you bring it to me and I'll ask Mandy to stew

e was stunned at the door.

Leena waved at him, ”Come here. I bought you some clothes. Try them on!”
