Barton smiled and just stared at her without saying anything. Upon noticing her nervousness, he finally said, ”Miss Gu, relax. I’m not a man-eating monster.”

Julia smiled in embarrassment. For some reason, ever since she knew that he was Jean’s father, she always felt nervous whenever she saw him.

After hesitating for quite a while, she finally decided to speak. ”Mr. Xiao, in fact, I'm here today...” When she was about to explain her purpose, however, Barton interrupted her.
