57 The Goblin Meter (2/2)

Darting forward again, I head towards the archers that I can see are hastily trying to load their bows. But they were slow, a few more arrows whistle through the air behind me, I sidestep, and they fly past me hitting the goblins directly in front of me.

A gasp of pain leaves their mouths as they're implied by their comrades' arrows.

Laughing, I grab out with my left hand and close my fingers around the neck of a goblin that'd been impaled with arrows. Quickly I crush his windpipe, which didn't kill him but stopped his resistance.

All that he was able to do was snap at me with those disgusting yellowed teeth that drip with the foul-smelling saliva. The smell of rot and decay fanned my face and it made me gag a bit.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a goblin abandon his bow and brandish his dagger, darting forward he tries to stab me. His execution was a little sloppy and I shake my head at his attempt.

”Now that not nice,” I chide as I swing my body around and with my right-hand skewer him with my weapon.

Hot blood runs down my arms, as I watch the life fade from his beady yellowed eyes.

Smiling, I pivot on my right foot and toss the goblin in my left hand towards the goblins that are running towards me from behind.

They collide with the limp body of their brethren, and an angered expression is birthed on their ugly faces. I felt a shiver of joy run up my spine, I'd been a while since I'd seen anyone look at me with that expression.

”That's right hate me, I'll slaughter you all,” I couldn't help but laugh. My brain was clouded with the smell of blood and cranages. Everyone bone in my body was burning with passion.

Gripping both handles of my scissors I open the blades and split the still skewered body of the goblin into a bloodied mess. The bits of flesh and guts falling out of his body as it falls to the ground unceremoniously.

Still trying to get up the goblins on the ground have a look of fear creeping onto their face.

”Ahhh~” A screaming goblin tries to attack me from behind, I let go of my scissor and sidestep as a knife falls right where my body was once standing.

”Maybe, don't yell next time,” I laugh as I grab his right arm and twist it.

”AHHHHH!” A violent scream of pain leaves his mouth and I smile brighter. Gripping the arm tighter, I swing my foot upwards and kick him in the gut.

”Urk,” he coughs, and saliva rolls out of his mouth.

More arrows whistle through the night air, without breaking a sweat. I swing the body of the goblin into the air and use him as a meat shield.

”Thunk! Thunk!”

A wild torrent of arrows pelted his body and soon only the light sound of gasping could be heard from him. Discarding his body, I grab my scissors and cut down three more goblins that were charging me.

No skill was needed to cut them down, it was like mindlessly slaughtering pigs.

”Your all going to die,” I tell him whipping a hand across my blood-covered mouth. All that managed to do was smear the blood even more.

”Sing for me at least!” I say, jumping forward towards the rest of the goblins.

Fear is etched into their ugly little face. Pouncing forward like a beast on the hunt, I begin to slaughter even more of them.
