Chapter 38 (1/2)
Benefits?
Segman heard FluffyRabbit’s question, and cast his gaze to the party of adventurers again.
Personally, Segman would prefer to call them mercenaries, and he didn’t know where they came from, but since they cleared the level with Schuzel it meant that they were up for hire.
“I can definitely reward you handsomely! I can give you money or strong magical items, just tell me whatever you wish!”
When he said this, Segman was absolutely confident in his ability to reward them. He was the prince of Aquaflow, after all, and was one of the richest people in the four empires. He had never had a shortage of money or riches, and he had mountains of magic equipment that the regular mercenary would positively drool over.
As he finished his sentence, a new dialogue box appeared in front of FluffyRabbit, showing him the details of the quest.
[Foreign World Quest: Break Sacred Record]
[Description: The eldest prince of Aquaflow wants your help to clear the first level of the Tower of Trials, and create a whole new record with him in tow.]
[Quest Objective: Be the fastest to clear the first level of the Tower of Trials]
[Rewards: You will obtain a massive sum of Aquaflow currency and multiple pieces of equipment as a reward, and more rewards shall be unlocked upon further negotiation.]
In the rewards category, the words ‘Aquaflow currency’ and ‘multiple pieces of equipment’ were in blue font, meaning that he could click on them and check on the details of the two items.
FluffyRabbit chose to do so, pressing a lithe and pale finger to the two words, and the stats of the two items appeared in a window in front of him.
[Aquaflow Currency]
[Other Item]
[Description: Currency from a certain country in another world with low gold content and almost nonexistent magical power. It holds no value in the world of Sacred Souls, but can be smelted for a meagre amount of meagre amount material.
[Effects: None]
[Value: 0]
All these descriptions all pointed to one irrefutable fact, that these gold coins were just a bunch of scrap metal that couldn’t even be sold in shops. The most it could do is to be given to subclass Blacksmiths to increase their proficiency.
As for the bunch of equipment behind it, FluffyBunny almost yawned out loud as he looked at them.
The equipment that Segman could offer was all magical equipment, which was equivalent to Blue equipment in the eyes of Sacred Souls players.
FluffyRabbit had almost finished collecting a whole set of Purple equipment, and he even had an Orange equipment called the Amulet of Prayer. This was a set of equipment suited for players around Level 30, and he would have to change another set in the future.
“Segman, the reward that we wish for is this…” FluffyRabbit reached inside his bag, and pulled out a magical stone that the prince of Darkfire commissioned them.
Because FluffyRabbit was the type of player to get really into character when he played, so his voice was getting more and more affectionate and feminine too.
“Magical stones? How many would you want?” Segman recognized the stone that FluffyRabbit was holding.
These luminescent stones were used as materials to craft magical staves in their world, and they were sometimes used as magical elixirs to replenish their magic. That being said, the impurities in the magical stones weren’t so easily absorbed.
“I…I need to think about it.”
Perhaps it was because of his Eloquence and Charm, but FluffyBunny had never seen such a compliant NPC.
“Rabbit my alarm is ringing, it’s already nine!”
MomADogIsBarking who was spectating at the side spoke suddenly, telling the team news that was worse than their party being wiped out.
“The f*ck you mean it’s nine?! Why didn’t my f*cking alarm go off?!” FluffyRabbit was the first to scream, his wails so piercing that the voice changer almost glitched, his gentle and holy aura shattering like glass immediately.
“It’s nine, go offline.” SingingInTheRain glanced at InkFlashback who disappeared in a flash, a system notification saying that the latter had gone offline popping out.
“What is Coach in such a rush for?!”
“The boss is going to check on us today, why else?”
