2 Picking a Monster (1/2)

After seeing Ji Liu finish drinking the potion, Doctor Fei Hua then took out some booze out of nowhere and offered his assistant to drink, even though they are still supposed to be working.

Ji Liu refused at first but When Doctor Fei Hua insisted that it was a special occasion, he agreed.

When Ji Liu drank the first cup he was offered, he immediately fainted, the last sight he saw was Doctor Fei Hua's back while the doctor was talking to someone on his phone.

When Ji Liu came to, the sun was already almost up, and he was back at his dorm room. He looked at the clock and was surprised that the date shown was Monday.

'Monday? I've been asleep for 2 days?' he wondered but his body demanded food, and without energy, his thinking would just be of food. he decided to ask Mr. Wei how he got home, so after preparing, washing and eating, he went out earlier and asked the dorm guard.

”Good morning Mr. Wei!” Ji Liu greeted as he went down the stairs. Mr. Wei was sitting outside near the front door, drinking his coffee from a paper cup and eating his breakfast. He looks like the Hulk, but he is nicer. Than the hulk at least.

”Well if it isn't Ji Liu! Had your fun last Friday? You were walking like a zombie that night. hahahah!”

”I don't even remember what happened that night, did I went home on my own?”

”Nope, you were accompanied by a beauty! I'm so jealous. Did you had your fun with her?”

”Really?”

”pfftt of course not! I had to drag you into your room after your boss carried you here. You were disturbing the neighbors.”

”Oh come on, stop teasing me like that, anyway, sorry about the trouble and thank you, Mr. Wei, for helping me get to my room, well, I got to go now else I'll be late for school” Ji Liu waved goodbye and went to school.

During break period, he was swarmed by his classmates because of the news that he got a rank 5 type-less 'awakening potion', some were amazed, some jealous while there are the inevitable non-believers.

He had asked around and gathered info on what good monsters to get as a first monster and after school, he quickly went to the Monster Depot, where uncontracted captured monsters were sold.

Monsters sold here are nothing special, but at least he can afford to buy one of them, and these monsters are also not too picky on making contracts so it's the best place for poor sobs like him to buy monsters.

On his hand is a list with 4 monsters that he had narrowed down to be his first contracted monster while waiting for the shop clerk to bring the monsters, he gave a final view on his list and his notes on them.

Green Donkey – rideable, fast, trainable, decent attack and defense

Yellow Mouse – very strong attack, poor defense, fast, noisy

White Turtle – very strong defense, can use light to camouflage, very poor attack, slow af

Brown Chimp – High intelligence, poor attack and defense

While still waiting, a customer came out of the monster showroom with her recently bought monster, but what shock Ji Liu was what he saw
