”Haha! Only a small gift! No need to thank me!” The old man stroked his silver beard and smiled warmly.

”Hmm!” Since the other party was so direct, Hei Wang just nodded and did not stay on ceremony.

”Hehe! Well then, I only expect one small thing from you! I know that you are going to abduct my granddaughter. This old man only requests that you never ever bring her back to our plane after that. It would be even better if she could lead a peaceful life.” The old man looked expectantly towards Hei Wang as he stated his wishes.

Hei Wang did not promise anything. A complicated look appeared on his face when the old man mentioned 'her'.

Hei Wang tiredly knocked on his room's door. His thoughts were muddled when the door opened and a young girl welcomed him inside.

Hei Wang dully looked up and saw the indifferent Feng Xue'er. Suddenly, he pulled her into his arms which brought a sudden yelp from the young girl.

But the expected torture did not come, and Feng Xue'er slowly opened her eyes to see an unconscious Hei Wang. She gently pulled him inside and placed him down on the bed, but Hei Wang refused to leave her body even while he was like this, and this forced Feng Xue'er to sleep on the bed along with him.

Soon, she too fell asleep against his body. She felt warm and protected and she let go of all her worries at this moment.

Hei Wang was first to wake up. He saw the peaceful Feng Xue'er cuddled against his body and his eyes turned red with sorrow.

'In a way, he had lost both of them in his past life didn't he?'

Thinking up to this, Hei Wang suddenly had a great urge to protect this girl. He had already lost her once, he could not bear to lose her once more.

”Hai! It seems like I don't have another choice.” Hei Wang softly kissed Feng Xue'er cheeks and got up reluctantly. If possible, he wanted to go all the way with this girl, but he saved it for an important moment.
