39 Confession (1/2)

She immediately locked herself up and rushed towards the bathroom. She checked her body all over and satisfied until she found nothing was amiss.

'So, nothing happened.' she thought.

She doesn't know why but there's a pang of disappointment within her.

'What? Did I really expect that something will happen? Are you crazy Misha?' she scolded herself.

She showered and changed clothes after. She still doesn't know how she ended up with his room. Better ask than chasing tails. She wore simple blue cotton blouse and shorts. Even though it's winter, the heater in his manor are fully operational so, she doesn't worry of cold. She walked down the staircase and accidentally saw Lyndon eating shortcakes. The way he ate it showed how he loved things like that.

”Pfft…”

He was about to munch the strawberry shortcake when he heard someone chuckling at his back. He immediately put down the piece he was holding and turned his face to his back.

He was panicking inside when Misha saw him holding some shortcakes and eating them with love. But those feelings were remain hidden deep inside and he stared at the woman who's holding her laughter until her eyes were watery.

”Hahahahaha...” she's holding her stomach that starting to ache from laughing.

Lyndon raised his brow. ”Is something wrong?” he asked icily causing the woman to stand back and stop laughing.

”Nothing.. I just didn't know that you love sweets more than any woman I know.” she said and walked towards him. She can't hide the fascination in her eyes.

Lyndon did not reply to her query. He didn't want to expose himself to her just like that. He just stared at her without any emotion on his face. She didn't know what he was thinking at that moment. So, she began to get awkward.

”Sorry for teasing.” she said meekly.

Lyndon just faintly smiled and continued to eat. She sat across him and picked a slice without any reservation about her diet.

After he ate, he became silent. It was a pin-drop silence. Misha couldn't stand it and asked, ”What's wrong?” worriedly. She frowned when he didn't answer.

Lyndon has been mustering his courage up to talk about Leonard.
