002: Wuliang Mountain

Su Tingyun was rather well-read, so now her mind was filled with random thoughts. Her palms were filled with sweat and water could even be wrung from the handkerchief clutched in her hands. However, she was still unresponsive even after the three women had come up to her and greeted her with a salute.

They were all ignorant mortals, and these three appeared to be extremely proud and domineering female cultivators; yet they would unexpectedly salute her?

“This person must be Madam Su.” The female cultivator wearing the pomegranate-red dress gave a faint smile, “I am Chu Ling, a cultivator training under Spiritual Master Ling Wu. These are my junior sister-apprentices, Chu Yu and Chu Yuerong.” Chu Ling fixed her fringe gently as she spoke, and her embroidered clothes s.h.i.+fted to expose a section of her jade-white arm. Her skin was fair and exquisite, a clear contrast to Su Tingyun’s current body.

“Spiritual Master Ling Wu is someone with outstanding talent. He successfully condensed his Golden Core after 50 years in seclusion; this innate talent is considered the best of the cultivation world. This time, by the orders of the Spiritual Master, we have come here to escort Madam beyond the Void Sea, to the cultivation world’s Wuliang Sect on Wuliang Mountain.”

There were actually immortal beings living beyond the Void Sea?

The minds of everyone present shook in fear. The emperor had managed to impressively unite the six nations, but even he had no means of conquering the Void Sea. All of the s.h.i.+ps heading out to the Void Sea set sail but never returned. No one knew just what laid beyond the Void Sea and there were only legends circulating around, one by one.

To think, there were skies beyond the heavens, and immortals really existed in this world….

Was this old lady fancied by an immortal who wanted to bring her to the mountains of the immortals to become a celestial being?

Su Tingyun felt an indescribable feeling surge up in her heart. It seemed to be what remained of the Old Madam’s consciousness. At this moment, she was suddenly unable to contain herself and she asked in a loud voice: “Fairy, could the Spiritual Master Ling Wu you speak of be referring to Su Lijiang?”

The woman in the pomegranate-red dress, Chu Ling, revealed a displeased face, but she nodded her head and said: “Indeed.”

Su Tingyun immediately felt extremely moved and she sobbed: “Darling…” These words were cried out in a hoa.r.s.e voice. After she had finished howling, Su Tingyun felt warm blood rush through her throat. She was. .h.i.t with a bout of lightheadedness and collapsed. Her vision turned black and she fainted immediately.

When she awoke, Su Tingyun felt that her body was missing something. If it was before, she would still be somewhat influenced by the feelings of the former host, but now Su Tingyun knew that the remaining consciousness of the Old Madam had completely disappeared.

Although there was no sighting of the man nor his corpse, she had always firmly believed that he was still alive and would continue to believe so until she died. She continuously awaited his return. Now, after waiting to finally receive news of him, her obsession was actually let go?

Su Tingyun felt the pain in her body lessen and she opened her eyes. She then saw her two twin sons standing guard by the bed, “Mother, you’re awake.”

“The two fairies told us that Father is bringing you to Wuliang Mountain to live comfortably. Mother is the only one in our entire Su Manor with an apt.i.tude for cultivation at present, the others are all incapable of setting foot in the world of immortals.”

The one who spoke, the older son, was a military man. He now looked a little dejected but after speaking of this, he continued, “But our family has immortal ties, so there is a high chance of a child with an apt.i.tude for cultivation emerging among our offspring. They have provided our Su Manor with plenty of magic treasures and medicinal pills. As long as a child with an apt.i.tude for cultivation is produced in our family, we can contact them directly and they will then send someone to escort them to Wuliang Mountain.”

The younger son looked at Su Tingyun in concern and mentioned briefly, “Mother, do you yourself want to go?”
