Shou forced himself to maintain a cool composure on the surface as he asked Gong, “I thought we agreed it would just be s.e.x and not have feelings involved?”

“Right now I want both.”

“Why?”

Gong's smile was gentle. “I said when I saw you for the first time, I wanted to f.u.c.k you. Actually, there is more. When I f.u.c.ked you for the first time, I wanted to be with you.”

Shou sucked in a deep breath, feeling his legs grow weak. His entire heart was beating erratically.

He admitted that his heart was already moved for a long time.

Shou twisted the hem of his jacket tighter, not daring to speak up or nod his head.

He did not know how much of Gong's words were sincere. For a long time player like Gong, he could say one thing and mean another. Shou could not tell if it was the truth, nor could he resist it.

If he gave his all again, and in the end if they broke up and just called it quits, he was worried he would not be able to bear it.

He was worried of being with someone like that cannon fodder again.

Shou sniffled his nose, with his head lowered he said to Gong, “I need some time to think about it.”

Gong rubbed Shou's head and replied, “It is okay. I can wait.”

Shou suggested that before they confirmed their relations.h.i.+p, it would be better to be apart for a period of time. Otherwise, he would not be able to calm down and think properly. Gong agreed with this idea. Hence, at night he sent Shou back to his own home.

Gong parked the car by the road and as Shou was unbuckling his seatbelt,  Gong said, “Let me send you to your door.”

Shou replied, “There is no need. I live on the 6th floor and there is no lift. It is too troublesome for you.”

Even though he said that, as a matter of fact, he was afraid that once they went up, he could not bear for Gong to leave.

Gong seemed to have seen through his real feelings so he did not insist as he said, “Then, you rest early.”
