Chapter 29 (2/2)
”Oh.” Eighteen condescendingly accepted it then suddenly said to Chu Han, ”Brother Chu, take this.” After she finished saying it, she just put it in the bowl of Chu Han, caring nothing about the feelings of Jia Chunjie. Chu Han received it with a smile. Eighteen was a good child although her speech was a little violent.
Chu Han embarra.s.singly pulled the corners of his mouth into a smile but he recovered soon enough. After, he just picked the last chicken leg and put it at the bowl of Shang Jiuti, saying, ”Jiuti, you should
eat more since you are so slim!”
Shang Jiuti thanked and looked at Chu Han eating vegetables. She suddenly felt sad for no reason at all. With her careful observation the past few days, she felt Chu Han was quite different. Although he was only a twenty-year old boy, he had the bearings of a mature man. Other men were wolfish and looked at her like some kind of meat but Chu Han was different.
”Chu Han, you should eat too.” Without thinking too much, Shang Jiuti just returned the legs back to Chu Han`s bowl.
Chu Han was at a daze as she looked at the woman. Didn`t she only have 30% loyalty so why did she treat him amiably?
Chu Han did not eat the legs as he just kept on eating the vegetables that for him was rarer.
Ka-- -
Jia Chunjie nearly bit his tongue. s.h.i.+t! It was not only Eighteen but also Shang Jiuti that gave the legs to Chu Han. What made him mad was that Chu Han didn`t even care. He just put the legs given by Shang Jiuti aside and ate the vegetables!
Chu Han just ignored the thought of Jia Chunjie. It would be hard to eat vegetables in the future so he relished in the moment. The behavior of the two women made the sensitive Chen Shaoye feel something wrong. They gave the best to the boss so should he give something too as a follower of the boss?
”Boss!” Chen Shaoye joked and gave the legs that he had bitten half of to Chu Han, ”I also give you-- -”
”f.u.c.k you!” Chu Han angrily rebuked him. Eighteen and Shang Jiuti did it and so why not do the same thing? Jia Chunjie sat aside while intrepidly eating.
Everyone was biased about Chu Han while he was only an outsider meant to handle odd jobs!
Time, as always, was fast and monotonous. After several days, there were only a little bit of food left from what they have collected from the shop in Mingqiu City. The only reason was the large appet.i.te of Chen Shaoye.
The radio was still repeating the broadcasts and there was no change to it. It was intermittent and it was impossible to know the situation of other places.
The entire world was so messy as it was torn into pieces. The survivors in each place should fight to survive.
The fuel tanks of the three cars were empty. After thinking carefully, Chu Han decided to replenish their supplies in the nearest town. They parked on the roadside. Chu Han looked at the primary map in the car and confirmed and tried to memorize the names in utmost detail.
With Chu Han looking at the map for already half an hour, Jia Chunjie finally became impatient. ”I suggest we should find a town. There should be a supermarket and a gasoline station at every town. So why are you studying so much?”
”Shut up.” Chu Han rebuked him and continued to carefully check the map.
He frowned as he tried to recover his memories about this place from his previous incarnation. The survival team also went through here but that memory was already from ten years ago. Chu Han did not expect to try so hard just to remember the specific details.
Where was the airdrop bag filled with enough food, medicine, firearms and ammunition?
