27 Chapter 27: (1/2)
The fog in my mind finally allowed me to wake up as I looked around me to see I was in some kind of hospital room. I rose my hand to my head, seeing that it was wrapped up before the events of what happened came back to me.
”Zavier. W-”
”He is alright. Don't be too loud or he'll awake from his comatose phase.” Archmage Seria says, standing at my side while I looked to my side and saw he was laying down on the bed beside me. More bandages on him than they were on me causing me to worry more.
”He doesn't look alright,” I note as she shrugged and walked around and checked the clipboard at the foot of the bed.
”He lost a lot of blood. I didn't get the clearance to give him witch blood.” She tells me, setting the clipboard down and turning to me. ”For you. I was given the clearance. Hence why you are awake now.” Seria explains while I nodded and pulled the covers off my legs. ”That's not a good idea.” He comments when I narrowed my eyes and took the IV out of my arm.
”I don't care.” I stood up, feeling completely weak in my legs. My legs bucked underneath me causing me to fall on the ground.
”I told you.” She simply says, walking over to me and offers me a hand but I refused it and stood back up.
”I don't need your help.” I sneer, wobbling over to Zavier and sitting on the bed beside him. His face looked so pale that it hurt to even look at him, the bandages all over him making me grasp his hand. ”I'm so sorry. I never meant for you to get hurt.” I whisper to him, not caring whether she heard me or not.
I leaned over, pressing my forehead on his shoulder and hoping he would give me some kind of comfort. I've seen friends die in battle, seen them all die in front of me.
But this... This was the hardest thing I've ever been through.
”He will be better. Just give it a few days alright?” Her voice seemed softer this time when I pulled away and noticed I was crying.
”Why did you wake me up early?” I ask quietly, wiping my tears away and glancing over my shoulder at her. Her cold grey eyes stared back at me as she held her hand out to me.
”Come. I'd like you to speak with someone.” She admits while I turned back to Zavier and kissed his forehead, letting his hand go to grab hers.
She leads me out of the room slowly, knowing that I was still weak from the blood loss but doing much better than before. We walked down a hallway and entered into a room that seemed like to be an office.
”Sit down. It'll make you feel better.” Archmage Seria tells me when I dropped into the seat and looked around to see several little nicknacks and piles of paper. She walked over to the other chair and sat down, waiting for something to happen.
I felt strange in the room and noticed I was in a different outfit than before. It seemed like they changed my b.l.o.o.d.y outfit from before which didn't surprise me, but their choice of clothes made me wonder why I was in all white clothes.
It didn't really matter, but I was curious about why the pureness.
”Sorry I am late! I didn't mean to but the kids in the mechanics' department kept me. Oh! h.e.l.lo! I am Archmage Nexus! Nice to meet you!” A short man, with lots of gears and tools on him, introduced himself as he carried several bolts and some kind of plate of metal.
He had curly red hair as well, though his eyes were hazel and kind. Though he looked a tad bit crazy, his personality was hyper and could bring a smile to anyone around. His brown pants and white t-s.h.i.+rt were covered in oil and rip probably from tinkering and what not.
”Hi...” I mumble as I took his hand.
”Hi! It's a lovely day is it not?! Oh! Sister! Nice to see your be”
”Shut up and sit down.” Archmage Seria growls when Archmage Nexus let my poor hand go and huffed, sitting down beside her.
”Why must you be so mean?! It's a nice-”
”Alright. That's enough from you.” She swiped her hand, his mouth moving but no sound coming from him making me chuckle and shake my head in disbelief.
I would never expect those two to be siblings. Nor the fact that the man was an Archmage, he just seems too lenient to be someone in power.
Archmage Seria looked away, something catching her eyes while Archmage Nexus messed with the metal plate he was working on. Looking completely focused on the device as the door once again opened.
”You know. I'm getting tired of these surprise meetings about dumb coven things.” A man with long dark brown hair comments, looking like a dark wizard as he noticed me in the chair. His eyes quirking up a little bit. ”Why h.e.l.lo. I am Archmage Wyn. I teach how one can control the arts of weather.” He introduces, looking a lot more toned down than Archmage Nexus.
Archmage Wyn was wearing a long black cape and had cross shape earing in his left ear. His warm yet cautious brown eyes seemed to tone down the crazy that anyone could have.
He was taller than any of the other Archmages and yet he was the leanest of them all. His brown hair was pulled back in a small ponytail that purposely left some down.
His hair made me jealous of the stupid blonde curls I had. But I couldn't allow them to see my true ident.i.ty.
At least not now.
”Hey, jacka.s.s. Move so I can see the girl I've been hearing about all week.” A small girly voice said behind Archmage Wyn when he rolled his eyes and moved out of the way.
My eyes trailed down to the girl's height while I stared at her a little surprised at her small four-foot height. Her curly brown hair bounced in a ponytail as she squealed and rushed over to me, the bright blue in her eyes sparkling.
