15 Chapter 15: (2/2)

”I told you to never come near my son! What do I have to do-”

”Dad! Don't be-”

”It's okay Zavier. Like I said. There are reasons why I can not stay here. All of this division, chaos, despair. It's because of me and I need to accept that by resisting my urges to murder people. I apologize. I just wanted to bid my goodbyes.” She tells my parents when looking up at me once more. ”Tueri cupio esse aliquando hominum totis viribus.” She whispers to herself, something forming in her hands before she held two necklaces. Each of the necklaces having a different color but same charm.

One of the charms were deep red that was formed in a small planet that looked to s.h.i.+ne brightly like the color red in her eyes. The other charm was green that was a planet as well, matching the color of my eyes.

”Keep this. Maybe one day we'll see each other again.” She held the red one out to me while I stared down at it and grabbed it from her. ”If we are fated to see each other again. These charms will glow brightly whenever we are around. Maybe when the time is right. We'll meet again. Goodbye, darling.” She nods to me, slipping the necklace around her neck before snapping her finger and disappearing.

The void that was within me returned when she disappeared from my vision. The small necklace the only thing to remind me by her.

I teleported into the cabin, feeling my body weaken as I stumble towards the couch and dropped onto it. The scent of pasta filling the pain inside of me while my head throbbed from the lack of sleep.

My chest hurt so bad...

What was I going to do...?

How was I going to go through all of this without wanting to return?

Why does this world have to be so cruel...?

”Are you alright, Faye? What happened? Did those rat parents say some mean things to you again?” Claire, the brunette witch I saved, questions in a thick country accent when setting something down and walking over to me.

”He woke up,” I mumble into the pillow and turned my face to look at her while she kneeled down beside me. ”I was about to leave and he walked out. It was... so f.u.c.king painful.” I admit, my eyes tearing up a little bit as she smiled sadly at me and patted my head softly.

”It'll be okay. You will get through this. I will be here every step of the way.” She a.s.sures, her blue eyes comforting me as best as she could when I sniffed and smashed my face back into the couch pillow. ”Now come on. You are going to eat something now because you haven't touched any kind of food in a long time.” Claire rubs my shoulder before standing up.

”I don't wanna... I'm not hungry right now.” I grumble. There was a moment of silence before she threw a water bottle at me making me yelp and fall off the couch. I sent a glare to Claire as she tossed another water bottle in her hand, watching me very carefully.

”I wasn't asking. Now come and sit down and eat this d.a.m.n meal I've made for you!” She yells at me when I groaned and dropped my head on the ground. ”Come on. I promise it's not poisonous... This time.” She mutters, the food she's made before caused me to have some stomach issues.

Slowly, I pushed off the ground and stood up from the cold ground when she smiled brightly and pulled out two bowls for the both of us. I plopped down into the chair as she bounced over to the table and set the bowl in front of me.

”It smells... Edible.” I congratulate as she narrowed her eyes at me and turned away from me. The little ap.r.o.n on her twirling around her like she was a housewife.

”Just eat up. If it's bad then I'll have Alexandra order us take out... Again.” Claire huffs wanting to be a great cooker but she honestly had no skill in the cooking world. Though I didn't care, I'd eat ever she made to make her feel better.

Taking a deep breath, I put the fork in my mouth the pasta waiting for the bitter taste to register but it never did. It actually tasted pretty good.

”This is actually good. Good job.” I praise, munching on the pasta and tearing into the bread while she grinned happily.

”Thanks! It took a while to perfect it.” She laughed, bringing her bowl to the table after she took the ap.r.o.n off when she sat down and tried it herself. ”It needs a little more seasoning but I like the taste.” Claire smiles happily as I nodded and ate some more pasta.

We stayed in silence, just enjoying the meal and quiet atmosphere. My thoughts started to wonder though. Curious about where and what Zavier was feeling, seeing if he was missing me or not.

I hope he wouldn't stay hung up.

Maybe he would find someone.

Maybe he would forget about me.

That thought broke my heart but I ignored the pain.

Hoping I could resist my feelings and protect him from afar.

Leaving the league will cause a lot of issues, but I will stay here and protect his happiness while I stood on the sidelines and encouraged him to be as happy as he could.

Zavier...

Please...

If you can hear this... don't come looking for me.

Be happy and forget about me.
