3 Chapter 3: (1/2)
〰 Khole 〰
I screamed, feeling the rough hands around me as I kicked out and latched onto someone's jaw. Without thinking, I hit the person holding me and continued to until they released me.
I wasn't dead... yet.
There were snarls and shouts of anger making my body go rigid with fear and bring my shaking hand up to my lips. I bite into it, scribbling blindly on the ground and throwing up a s.h.i.+eld around me.
The sounds ceased and I tried rubbing my eyes to see better, but nothing but darkness was met. I couldn't see a thing other than shadows moving around with the light over us.
My body trembled terribly while I felt my head throbbing in irresistible pain and misery. Has the sad girl been saved? Did my master come back for me?
”What the fu-”
”I'm sorry, master. I promise to never disobey you.” I mumble, tears coming from my eyes as I covered them and back away from the talking. ”I'm sorry... Don't hurt me again. Please.” I beg, shaking in fear when I felt something pressing against the barrier I placed.
”Khole. It is me. The woman from the illusion.” A soft voice whispered causing me to tremble again. ”We won't hurt you. We want to help you. Can you let the barrier down now? I promise no harm will come to you.” She says but I didn't take my barrier down.
I didn't trust her or them.
Why should I?
”W-Why can't I see anything?” I stutter out, being braver than normal as I heard someone scoff and hit my barrier, hard.
”Just f.u.c.king let us heal your d.a.m.ned eyesight!” The man from before snarled angrily making me flinch and cower into myself. There was a sharp slap from in front of me and I had the overwhelming fear that I was next.
I knew they weren't nice...
I just knew it.
”Shut the f.u.c.k up, Dylan. The girl just went through an ordeal and you are being a complete a.s.shole.” Another woman sneers her tone making me shake but her words warmed my hurting heart.
”She's hurt d.a.m.n it! You told me that she'd lose her eyesight if not treated quick enough!” The man, Dylan, bellows in anger reminding me much of my master. He was scary and I prayed I'd never had to see him.
Wait...
”I don't want my eyesight back.” I blurted out, the room's atmosphere s.h.i.+fting into one of surprised when I moved and looked down so they didn't look at my eyes.
”Why?” The woman with a soft voice asks as I picked at my bleeding finger.
”I don't want to see myself... or any of your faces or this terrible world for what it is,” I confess, feeling my skin already burning and repairing itself. A hiss left my lips while I tilted my head and felt my hair spilling over my shoulder.
The wound on the back of my head burned away before repairing itself making my head throb with pain. My eyesight, however, remained just as damaged as before when I felt my injuries be healed only the faint scars remaining in their place.
”What... What are you?” Dylan questions almost disgusted with me.
I didn't answer him, all my wounds burning away and leaving the numbness of the healed skin and regenerated blood. Their stares were burning into me as I released a breath of relief and rested against the floor once again.
Thankfully my s.h.i.+elds were still holding.
”Why don't you heal your eyesight? I know you are capable of it since you've healed your other wounds.” The soft-spoken woman tells me, her voice sounding so pleasant that I almost considered it.
But I've already seen enough of the pain and misery of this world...
I don't think I could handle to see the fury and evil in the world anymore...
At least this way, I am protected from others even if I can't see what could be coming towards me.
Plus something as fragile as my eyesight can't be healed by my own magic. It wasn't developed enough for healing like the healing my eyesight needed.
”I-I don't w-want to heal m-my eyesight-t just to see all th-the evil in the world-d. Not-t like I-I could-d,” I admit to her, letting out a shaky sigh. ”If y-you wish to not-t hurt... Pl-Please, let me g-go.” I plead to her, unsure of where she was but I felt myself looking to my right.
”Where would you go, darling? Do you have some family around here? Is there someone waiting for you?” The soft-spoken woman had taken over talking, the others mockingly listening to our conversation but I felt their presence around me.
Their power was powerful and dangerous and it scared me so badly.
It made me tremble down to my core and they could tell of my shaking.
The action clearly made some of them uncomfortable and another very angry.
His anger radiated in waves that only made me involuntarily shake more, thankful for the s.h.i.+eld I created with my blood.
”N-No... I have no one l-looking for m-me...” I whisper to the woman while sighing and letting my dirty hair cover my face. ”But-t... I'd-d like to g-go peacefully.” I confess to her, wanting nothing more than wanting to take my life since I'd always been prevented that luxury in my master's care.
I was just hoping they'd allow me my last wish.
”Take your life...?” Dylan asks almost fearing the words that left his mouth when I nodded and wrapped an arm around my waist.
”I-I want-t to leave th-this miserable w-world and find something-g better,” I said with a small smile, knowing how pleasant it'd be to finally leave the world that's pain me so badly.
How would it feel?
