Act 9:1-4

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there s.h.i.+ned round about him a light from heaven:

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

Here, you could see that he heard a voice. This voice was the voice of the glorified Jesus. Paul thought he was persecuting the church, but in actual sense he was persecuting Jesus Himself. This is because Jesus is the Head of the church and you are members of the body.

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are pa.s.sed away; behold, all things are become new.

Another thing you should know is that you are without condemnation. There are many people today who put themselves under condemnation: G.o.d made him who had no sin to be sin for us: so that in him we might become the righteousness of G.o.d

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

You are perfect and righteous in Christ Jesus. Your portion in Christ Jesus is that of a son. Know it that you own everything because Christ owns everything. Whatever belongs to him, belongs to you as well

Romans 8:16

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of G.o.d:

Every other sacrifice on earth today is an insult on the intelligence of G.o.d, who offered the blood of his son for the atonement of our sins by becoming our perfect high priest as a result of the blood sacrifice.

Hebrews 9:13-14

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to G.o.d, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living G.o.d?

So beloved, you are a living stone, a spiritual house built. You are an holy priesthood offering spiritual sacrifices to G.o.d. The only spiritual sacrifice you are to offer today is your life and your wors.h.i.+p.

Power in your anointing

For you to manifest as G.o.ds on earth you ought to have faith in your anointing. The Lord Jesus Christ constantly affirmed that he was anointed. That is not boasting in flesh, that is boasting in the Lord. In fact the bolder you are the more the anointing upon your life will work to your advantage. Confidence gives you access to your divine inheritance. Hear what Paul said.

Philippians 1:28

28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of G.o.d.

One of the ways the anointing on Jesus came to manifestation was that he either preached or taught he was anointed. He refered men to what was written in the scripture concerning him. Their responses to those words determined their blessings

Luke 4:16-18

16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Three things you ought to take note in the above pa.s.sages

i. Jesus had a custom of preaching or teaching on those prophecies of Isaiah about himself

ii. He must have requested for the book before it was delivered unto him. Bible then was not one book like we have today. The more reason that knowledge of G.o.d's word must be your priority. If you don't attend to the word, there is no way for the anointing to be released since G.o.d has tied his power to his word

iii. Jesus was still going to the synagogue to teach them. It was the best available place of wors.h.i.+p in his days. You can't grow well outside of the church

Psalm 68:6

6 G.o.d setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

As I preach and teach on the radio every morning, I re-affirmed the truth to the listening audience that their local churches are important. As I received mails from them, I wonder why endless list of problems are in the life of people. Some of them even claim to be born-again but they desire independence. Jesus is their pastor and they have nothing to do with good churches where the truth of G.o.d is being preached. Liberty in Christ is not doing what you want to do but doing what you ought to do. Stop playing today and find a good church. Your blessing is located in a divinely ordained setting.
