VARIN, PIERRE ADOLPHE.

Born at Chalons-sur-Marne on May 24, 1821, he settled early in Paris, where he achieved distinction as an engraver. For a long ill.u.s.trated article on the works of this artist see ”Les Archives de la Societe Francaise,” September, 1895.
