44 The King Arrives! Pt 1 (2/2)
In the midst of the now panicked city, one person calmly walked towards the group that just exited the Portal Station building.
”Greetings instructor Hittan.”
”It seems I'm right on time Elder.”
”Greetings Mother.” Bowing slightly Edan addressed his mother with respect.
”Greetings Elder Ragna!” The rest of the group offered quickly.
”Not bad students, keep up the good efforts.” Looking over the group Ragna noted their current power levels and had to praise them given their age. But she also noted that Hittan's growth could not be compared to people of this world. A true monster amongst men.
But the other thing she noted was that Valencia seemed even more attached to Hittan and on closer look, they were holding hands. It also seemed like he had no intention of letting go of her, either.
”Well let us greet my new Fathers, shall we.”
Questioning the pluralisation of the word ”Father” Ragna looked towards Edan. But he could not offer any concrete answers. The situation made even worse by his actions to bring another girl while meeting his potential father-in-law??
…
”Greeting Lady Ragna. We offer our apologies, but if you plan on going ahead in the throne room your guests will have to stay in the hall pa.s.sage.”
”Advise the Emperor that the young King of the Dragon and Phoenix Village with his delegates have arrived. I believe he is expecting me.”
Immediately the guards and Elder Ragna herself looked at Hittan with shock!
”It is indeed so, mother.”
Looking away from Edan she turned to the guards and advised them to make the proper announcements! One of the guards immediately ran ahead.
…
”My Emperor, Empress and esteemed guests. Lady Ragna is escorting…” gulp* ”The young King of the Dragon and Phoenix Village and his delegates.” The guard nervously announced.
”Young, King? Send them in.”
Walking slowly into the room Hittan's demeanour started to change and his presence became even more noticeable. As if no one was above him and he had the final say in anything!
The moment Hittan scanned the room he was greeted by a mixture of facial expressions; joy from his wives with a little hint of worry from Kaia, indifference from General Cadman, confusion from General Abbe, a smile from Empress Samara and curiosity from Emperor Vanya.
Looking to Valencia next to him, before she could even bow to greet the Emperor, he nudged her to go towards the other three ladies. While the rest of his team bowed slightly to greet the Alicorn Emperor.
”Come Valencia, has he bullied you all this while?” Kaija smiled and welcomed Valencia. Who responded softly while walking over to them with reddened cheeks, ”he didn't bully me.”
”Oh, he didn't?”
”Not much, though.”
Lagina noticed the conversation, as did the whole room, she squinted towards. .h.i.ttan! Feeling her mood swings he walked towards her and soften his look. Turning away playfully, Lagina seemed to be spiting him by avoiding eye contact. He chuckled at her sudden ”bashfulness” before asking, ”Did I not promise you a large family? Now you have more sisters and soon children and nieces and nephews running all over.”
To the shock of everyone else, which by now seemed to have been dismissed as that of wall art, simply there for the decoration. Hittan did not spare them another glance. While Abbe himself was even more shocked to see the level of intimacy being shown by his otherwise cold daughter!
Moving onto Kaia he could see that she was worried and looked down and refused to look him in the eye. He then looked towards Kaija and noted that she too was a little worried. Reaching for both their hands he pulled them forward and had them stand side by side.
The room would be shocked at what came next as the young King of the most powerful group on the planet got down on one knee and bowed his head! But they were even more shocked at what they heard!!
”Your King has wronged you and forced your hands, repeatedly. I have been told by the partial spirit I left behind to guard Gilead that each time I died a new moon would appear. But I know the moon is you. So each time... you would accompany me in death, always together. All that changes in this life as you will never be hurt like that again!”
Standing up, he looked them in the eyes and said, ”I love you both… I love all of you.”
