Xiao Ming's expression suddenly changed when he heard the voice from the back of his head. He screamed in fear as he tried to escape from that person.
However before he managed to move, he was stopped by the person behind him.
”Hey, hey, hey, it's me, what are you so afraid of?”
Jin Jia Jia turned around to see Zhao Yao with an annoyed look on his face.
Zhao Yao was equally shocked by this situation. In reality, he walked towards the both of them when the time froze which gave Xiao Ming such a big scare. However, Zhao Yao did not use his power at all, which meant that something happened to Matcha which triggered the power.
He thought, ”How troublesome. It seems like it would be better if Matcha and I worked together for our future missions. If either of us went solo, our shared power might interfere and affect the other party.”
Jin Jia Jia tilted her camera towards Zhao Yao and exclaimed excitedly, ”Master, it's you! Did you come here to catch the devil cat too?”
Meanwhile, the live streaming site was flooded with comments again.
”Xiao Ming, you're a joke.”
”Two hundred thousand people saw you bawling like a kid.”
”Here comes the actor.”
Xiao Ming gave an awkward smile as he asked Zhao Yao, ”Master since you are here, does it mean that something is wrong with this place?”
Zhao Yao blinked and replied, ”Hmm, there seems to be a small problem. You mentioned devil cat?”
Hence, Jin Jia Jia explained what she saw just now, ”… within the blink of an eye, the LiHua cat had disappeared. It vanished into thin air. Isn't that the devil cat that you are trying to catch?”
After hearing Jia Jia's description, Zhao Yao knew that she was referring to Matcha and said, ”Yeah, I think I'm looking for that cat.”
Xiao Ming was in awe of Zhao Yao, and he requested, ”Master, please let me help you. I'm quite familiar with this place.”
Jia Jia added, ”This mall belongs to Xiao Ming's family. This is his childhood playground.”
Zhao Yao's expression immediately changed after hearing those words.
”The previous villa must have cost at least one to two hundred million RMB. This mall is situated within the central district which means that it cost at least a few billion RMB.” Zhao Yao stared at Xiao Ming in astonishment.
”What the f*ck! Why do I feel like his entire body is coated in gold?”
”He is the real tycoon. Will he give me a pile of cash, worship me and even appoint me as an elder or something? He might even build a house for me. The previous villa seemed pretty comfortable.”
After his daydream, Zhao Yao continued, ”Alright, you guys can tag along. I'll take care of you.”
Xiao Ming nodded his head excitedly. All this while, Xiao Ming's decision to participate in this supernatural adventure was because he wanted to learn some magic and spells from a master but not to find spirits and ghosts.
Hence, the three of them commenced their patrol, in search of the supercat.
