12 Black Bird (2/2)
Argo and Luna saw the huge smile on his face and reply with one of their own as they said in sync, ”No problem~”
After a few minutes of playing around, the trio continued on their journey. Along the way they meet all sorts of animals, some friendly and some not so friendly.
Whenever grimm were in the surrounding, a black blur appeared from the treetops and instantly turned the grimm into dust.
Over the past week, Magna has been studying the bird, asking himself why this bird seems to be protecting him and the girls. During the night, the bird would rest close by while easily taking out any grimm that came anywhere near their camp while during the day, it would hide in the trees and take out anything that was too much for Magna and the twins to handle.
After a couple hours of walking, Magna and the girls came across a huge clearing filled with greenery while the settlement they were traveling to was finally in sight. Actually, calling it a settlement wasn't quite right as it looked more like a large, self-sufficient village. Their were at least 50 large houses with each house having its own personal garden while their were huge fields on the outskirts with many muscular men doing farm work.
One of the men caught sight of them as he yelled, ”Oi, guys. Who's kids followed them to work?”
”Not mine.”
”My kid would rather die than work, you know that.”
”I only have a daughter so it can't be mine…”
”I haven't even got kids!?!”
Suddenly, a deep voice filled with anxiety and relief shakily said, ”…Magna, is that you?”
Magna felt his body tremble as he turned towards the person who just spoke. Tears gathered in his eyes as his body unconsciously started sprinting towards the huge man as he screamed, ”DAD!!!”
The man seemed equal as emotional as he dropped the hoe in his hands and instantly closed the gap between him and Magna, stunning everyone around him. The man gave Magna a heavy bear hug as he cried, not minding the happy stares from around him.
Suddenly, the man noticed the two b.a.l.l.s of fluff that followed behind Magna. He gave his son a wink as he chuckled, ”Definitely my son.”
Magna knew what he meant but ignored it as he was way too happy with being reunited with his family. The girls, however, lowered their heads with a deep blush while their tails fluttered around behind them.
As his father put him down, he looked at Magna with excitement and said, ”Come with me. Your mother has been really anxious since we came here. She won't even let me…” by the end of his sentence, he started mumbling.
Magna actually blushed slightly as he had an inkling of an idea of what his father was talking about while the twins faces exploded into a deep blush as their enhanced hearing allowed them to hear what he was saying, even when he started mumbling.
Shaking his head, Magna gave a small cough as he said, ”Sure dad. Just give me a minute.” Before anyone could stop him, Magna ran back into the forest. The girls were about to follow him in a panic when Magna's voice echoed from the forest.
”Don't follow me. I need to pee.”
The girls blushed slightly as they stood next to Magna's father who silently chuckled at them.

A small ways into the forest, Magna suddenly stopped. He bowed towards one of the treetops as he said in a naturally childish voice, ”Mister Bird, thank you for protecting me and my sisters and helping us reach my family.”
With a happy smile, Magna turned back and ran even faster than before to where his family was waiting.
After a couple minutes, a man donning a grey coat and black cape jumped down from the treetops. Taking a long drink from a flask that hung from his hip, the man smiled as he muttered, ”Polite kid.” Before slowly walking to G.o.d knows where.
