Chapter 205: Lightning Strike (1/2)

”Ha Ha Ha! I lived by the sword brat; I wouldn't lose to someone with meager experience!” Alexander spat a mouthful of blood while talking to Ed.

”I'll take that as a compliment then,” said Ed as he walked towards the fallen down Alexander. Ed's arm was lopped off from the exchange, but Alexander was in a much worse state. A deep slash, spanning from his right shoulder to the left side of his waist, was bleeding profusely.

”I would have asked you to join our kingdom after I heal you, but it would be as if I spat on your pride, am I right?” Ed asked as he stood next to Alexander.

”Aye. Tis would be the best end for me! Still, I have left a whole sect waiting for my return. I do not wish for them to join me in my death. Here!” Alexander used his last remaining power to withdraw something from his spatial ring and threw it over to Ed.

It was a medal with two intersecting Katana. It was made from gold and shone as the sun's rays hit it.

”This is?”

”The Sword sect master's insignia. It is yours as is the sect. No one would dare fight you if you have it. Ah, most won't try Ho Ho Ho!” Ed could see that Alexander's life was fleeting very quickly. Dying by a wound was not the kind of ending Alexander would have wanted, and Ed knew that.

”Before you do it, I want to ask. How will you defeat Harald? He's a monster you know?”

”I left my most trusted companion to oversee the situation. I don't think he'll have much trouble with him.” Ed humored Alexander and told him. ”Any last words?”

”None!”

”I seeIt has been the most enjoyable fight ever. Thank you!” Ed said one last sentence as he swung his sword to kill Alexander. He wanted to die by a sword strike and Ed complied. On his face, a look of pride emerged and a smile formed on his now deceased face. Ed made sure to execute him in a clean beautiful way. He was planning on returning his body to his family, or anyone that knew him in the Sword sect.

”Ed walked over to his arm and picked it up. His Regeneration was doing its best to create a new one, but it was far too slow. So, Ed cut off the part that had grown due to Regeneration. He manipulated his arm with Telekinesis and stuck it on the wound. Then, he withdrew his best potion and spilled it over the wound and the arm. He also drank some of it.

”Let's hope this works...” Ed spoke as he activated his Hatsu on his healing ability.

Back at the battlefield of the supreme commanders, a huge battle was taking place. Harald was now fighting only three opponents. Arthur, Akira, and Uther. He managed to heavily injure the other kings enough so that they needed to retreat.

”You won't be able to beat me you know? Even if this whole army dies, I'll finish the mission by myself!” Harald declared to his opponents. Arthur and the other had sustained some injuries, but it wasn't anything serious.

Harald held his Glaive and used some QI on it. He swung it towards Akira and a shockwave resulted from it. Akira managed to dodge, but Harald was about to hit him, as he had read his escape route. Still, Akira was rather experienced and knew how to avoid such a situation. He stored the saber he was using and withdrew a long pitch black Katana. He used Wind magic to fling himself away while charging his weapon.

It was a similar technique to the Void Slash used by Hayato. Harald noticed the dangerous air his weapon was giving off, so he followed him. But, he wasn't fighting only one opponent. Arthur and Uther jumped into action as they delayed Harald.

Harald managed to throw off Uther, but not Arthur. The two of them got locked into close combat. Arthur did something that shocked Haralad. He closed his eyes. Much to Harald's surprise, he also lost his sight.
