Chapter 185: Die (2/2)

”Velocitas, Potentia Amplificato!” Alicia used the same technique from the tournament. But this time, she used it on all of them and not only herself. Everyone could feel that their speed and power increased due to this. Yet, even with this boost, the man's natural capabilities surpassed theirs. He seemed to be targeting Emilia as he closed in on her before she could escape.

Emilia conjured over twenty magic swords from both fire an ice. She thrust ten towards him while kept ten in front of her as a barrier. Obviously, the swords couldn't injure Snake but only served to slow him down. Before he could destroy all twenty, the others caught up to him. They still didn't manage to injure him, as he w blocking their attacks with his bare hands. He retaliated and sent Ellie and Alicia flying. Blood dripped from Ellie's mouth and nose and he hit her in the face. Alicia was hit in the stomach, but not as bad as Ellie.

”I'll take the charge, you guys support me,” Griffin told them as they needed a solid fighting plan. He activated his QI, as well as Ren. Eric did the same. This was their trump card, as they were taught by Arthur himself. Ed had also recommended doing this to increase the power of Avalon.

Thanks to the previous boost, Griffin could now keep up with Snake. The latter couldn't keep blocking with hands, as Griffin's enhanced swords were injuring him. Thanks to the support from the others, they were pushing him back.

”Useless!” The man released a QI wave to push them back but failed. Seeing that he was in a sore spot, he seemed to activate something. The tip of his fingers started going purple. He thrust his hand toward the face of Griffin in an even greater speed than before.

”He's using Poison magic, be careful!” Emilia managed to identify what he was doing. Unfortunately, he managed to scratch Griffin's face. In an instant, his cheek started going purple. The poison was acting fast.

”Consano!” Alicia quickly made her way to heal Griffin. Snake tried to stop her, but Eric started taking him on. Alicia needed to use the same technique three times in order to fully dispel the poison. Eric, Emilia, and Ellie were now being pushed back. They needed to fight Snake while being careful not to get poisoned.

”Thank you, Miss Alicia.” Griffin thanked her as they both joined their companions again. The fight started heating up, with both sides getting injured. Alicia was working the hardest as she needed to heal anyone that got poisoned. She could truly feel how her training with Merry helped her.

As they were fighting, their attention was stolen by lightning like blows that sounded in the sky. They looked up to see Uther clashing with his opponent. Both of them were injured, but Uther seemed to have the upper hand. Next up, a frightening amount of QI was felt, which caused them to stop moving. Even Snake couldn't help but stop his fight to see what was causing this.

They looked towards Gobuta's battlefield to see his opponent missing an arm and a leg. Gobuta had an injury in his left arm but didn't seem to be deep. The origin of the QI seemed to be Gobuta, as a purple aura was surrounding him.

Gobuta was using both QI and Ren. His aura was blowing up more and more as it increased in size. His opponent couldn't help but shudder in fear, as he couldn't escape from the monster in front of him. Gobuta's aura seemed to reach the maximum size he wanted since it stopped. Slowly, it started to get infused into his sword. The entirety of the purple aura concentrated so much that it turned his sword black.

Gobuta descended, making his opponent just above him. Then, he put the sword above his head and swung it towards his opponent. ”DIE!” Gobuta screamed while releasing the gigantic attack. His opponent couldn't do anything as the crescent slash consumed him. The slash continued its way until the sky, which seemed to be split after the attack. Gobuta smiled as he looked at his work, but then stopped. Only then he remembered that he lost the spatial ring along with the man.
