Chapter 22: The return (1/2)

Ed went back to the castle with Oliver. He then went to his father's room and entered.

”Father I brought him here,” Ed told his father as he was entering.

”I see so this is the one you used your money to buy a spot in the sect for...” Arthur looked like he was judging Oliver. ”What is your name?”

”O-Olivier sir!” Oliver was very tense. Anyone would be if they were meeting a king for the first time.

”Oliver, do you wish to join our sect?”

”I wish to get stronger. Strong enough to protect those I care about!” After hearing Arthur's question, Oliver answered seriously. It seemed like he took this matter very seriously.

”Hahahahah! The same answer as Ed huh... Very well you can come to the sect! All your paperwork is ready! You are now officially part of our Glory sect!” Arthur seemed very amused. Apparently, Oliver said the right things to him.

”Ed we're having a family dinner tonight make sure you're present! It's to celebrate your well being and your brother's safety. Don't try to run away, Griffin will be present as well.” Before Ed could try to think up of an excuse Arthur interrupted him ”Oliver make sure he gets here. You're invited as well”.

What Arthur said shocked both Ed and Oliver. Normally a slum orphan would not join a noble family in their house let alone dinner. It seemed like Ed and Arthur have more in common than they thought.

”Y-Yes sir I will!” Oliver answered enthusiastically. 'You just sold me for a meal Oliver' Ed smiled wryly.

Ed spent the afternoon in his house and didn't hunt today. He trained with Raikou, Oliver, and Bella.

It seemed Bella enjoyed having more people in the house and didn't ask questions about Oliver. Bella got tired fast and Ed got Suika to play with her, while he continued training with Oliver.

Soon enough Oliver couldn't keep up so Ed continued sparring with Raikou. After he was done he asked the system for an overview of his stats.
