Chapter 13: The evolution and The danger (1/2)

Ed, Raikou, and Suika kept walking in the forest searching for monsters to hunt.

”Suu~~” Suika was now on top of Raikou's head, It seemed to be her favorite place. Raikou didn't seem to mind either; although he was prideful he still doted on Suika and Bella.

Around an hour into the hunt, they had already killed about a dozen different monsters. This time they were fighting a python-like monster. The monster was green in color so it indicated that it might have some poison in it.

”Raikou, be careful in case it has poison” Ed pulled his two swords and got ready to fight after warning Raikou.

”Woof!” Raikou seemed to agree. Suika got down from Raikou's head and sat under a tree seemingly enjoying the show that was about to happen.

'Suika looks so relaxed over there...'

”Hisss” The python hissed at them and got ready to fight as well.

The enemy this time was stronger but not at the level where it really threatened Ed and his companions. After hunting together so many times, Ed and Raikou's team play was perfect.

Raikou would keep the enemy occupied using his speed and fangs while Ed would use his Shadow Steps to get close to the enemy without it noticing.

'The stealth effect of Spectral Shadow Steps is really nice'. Ed couldn't help but admire his movement skill.

After getting in range, Ed slashed at the python. However, because of its scales, it wasn't a life-threatening injury.

'Damn it!' Due to his miscalculation, the python now had its guard up and it wouldn't be easy to sneak up on it anymore.

Knowing that he couldn't sneak up on it, Ed joined Raikou in a frontal assault this time. After a little bit of time, the snake was already in shambles. Although its scales were tough they weren't invincible. Ed's 2 sharp swords and Raikou's fangs were more than enough to critically wound it. All they had to do was target the same spot again and again.

”HISSS!” The python seemed desperate now and gathered a green ball in its mouth.

'That should be the poison' Ed knew what it was. ”Raikou dodge it!” He beckoned Raikou and moved away himself.

The python shot out the ball towards Ed but he dodged it easily, it then formed another ball and shot it towards Raikou. However, its enemies were too fast for it and dodged everything.

Less than 1 minute later the snake exhausted its poison and fell to the ground. Ed moved in and finished it.

*Ding*

Gained 1000 exp.

Acquired Gacha ticket.

'Nice!' This was the first time a monster dropped a Gacha ticket so Ed was excited.

”Suika let' move on” Ed turned around to remind Suika to go ahead only to find her eating the poison remains of the python's attacks.

”Suika no!” Ed was afraid she would get poisoned.

”Suu~~!!” However, she seemed to enjoy it instead. ”Eh? Do you like it? You like poison?!!” Ed was surprised by his companion's taste in food.

”Suu!” Suika confirmed. ”Well, would you want to eat this python?” Ed wasn't gonna take back the body so he thought he might as well feed it to Suika.

Suika didn't give him a response and instead moved into the carcass. She started to digest it immediately.

Around 5 minutes later she finished. 'I'll never get used to how she eats...' Suika always directly dissolved her food so it didn't matter for her how big it was.

*Ding*

Slime evolved into Poison Slime!

After hearing the notification Ed looked at Suika and found that her color changed from light blue to light green, she also increased in size a little.

”Suika can you control your poison?” Ed asked with concern, he didn't want her to poison other people, especially Bella when playing.
