Chapter 10: The aftermath (2/2)

Ed's mother looked flustered but knew nothing could be done after establishing a soul contract. She at least relieved knowing that the wolf wouldn't hurt her son.

After satisfying his mother's curiosity Ed headed to the bath with Raikou to get rid of the blood and dirt. He took Raikou with him since he didn't want to be left alone in case his father comes barging in again.

Ed could feel all his injuries stunning him when he entered the water, Raikou also released a few whimpers but he seemed like he enjoyed the hot water. The duo kept enjoying the water while Ed was checking his stats again.

Str: 58.

Agl: 43.

Int: 40.

Def: 43.

Sta: 62.

Skills: Two-sword style, Etiquette, Haggling, Strategy.

Abilities: Sharingan, Spectral Shadow Steps.

Evaluation: You still have a long way ahead of you.

”System scan Raikou” Ed wanted to know how strong Raikou was.

[Scanning...]

Name: Raikou (Black thunder wolf).

Cultivation: Knight establishment (level 3).

Master: Edward Avalon.

”System what would be his level if converted to a game like display?”

[Raikou's level would be 12].

'That high!' Ed was surprised that he was able to even fight Raikou with such a difference. But he guessed that with his sword mastery and his Sharingan it was possible.

”Raikou it's time to get out” Ed called Raikou and they both got out of the bath.

Ed then went to his room and asked Becky to bring him and Raikou some food. He avoided eating in the hall as it was embarrassing so he always used the excuse of being injured or training.

A while later he heard knocks on his door an thought it was Becky, so he told her to enter. However, the one who came in was Bella, his little sister.

”Brother I heard you got a pet now can I see him?!!” Bella came in with so much energy that she even scared Raikou who was laying down.

”He's not my pet Bella he's more like my partner” Ed knew that Raikou wouldn't like being called a pet.

Raikou then got up and stood in front of Bella. He was taller than her so if anyone saw them they would scream for help fearing for Bella's life.

However, Raikou knew Bella was Ed' sister and licked her face. After that Bella's face beamed and she started talking happily with her brother while petting Raikou.

After eating and sending his sister away, Ed decided to put an end to this day and sleep.
