Chapter 8: The preparation (2/2)

'Keep me alive ... So if I get hurt it's okay?' Ed found it weird but he was glad as well. This meant he would be given a certain degree of freedom while hunting.

”Becky we will leave today make the necessary preparations ”

”Understood young master” Becky then left to do her job while Ed went back to his room.

After getting to his room he found both his swords and the Kunais he used there waiting for him, he had lost consciousness so he didn't get the chance to take them back.

Ed changed his clothes to ones similar to what his father wore when he was sparring, they were indeed the best for hunting and fighting. As he was prepared to leave he found Becky next to his door.

'WH- that scared didn't she go to prepare?' Ed was scared thinking Becky wouldn't be back so soon.

”Becky, did you prepare what you need?”

”Yes, young master” She simply answered and at that moment Ed noticed the huge sword she was carrying.

Becky was still wearing maid clothes that were quite similar to Ed's previous world, nearly identical, coupled with the 1.4-meter sword gave her quite the contrasting look.

Becky had red hair and red eyes, along with a pretty face. She was a bit older than Ed so that gave her quite the mature charm.

”Then let us depart immediately,” Ed said and they both left the castle.

They used a carriage since it would take them too long to leave the city by foot. It only took them about 1 hour and a half to get to their destination.

Ed and Becky got down from the carriage and made their way towards a forest. This was the first time Ed left the city so he was enjoying his time watching the scenery when suddenly, a bush started to move.

'My first enemy! Is it a goblin? Or a slime?!' Ed was both nervous and excited. Suddenly a little rabbit came out of the bush. It wasn't even a horned rabbit or a monster, only a normal simple cute little rabbit.

Ed felt stupid an continued to move on with Becky.

Suddenly the system warned him.

[Host multiple monsters are approaching suggesting for host to get ready]

At the same Becky noticed something and said: ”Young master monsters are coming we should get ready”.

Ed then drew both of his swords and started waiting for the monsters to come. Not even 30 seconds later around 12 wolves came and surrounded Ed and Becky.

All the wolves had a silver color except for one that was black; Ed thought that would be the leader.

'System can you tell me their cultivation level?' Ed was curious about how strong they would be.

[Host can check their cultivation level with the Scan function. However, if the level is too high you can't see anything]

'Then scan them!'

Name: Silver Wolf

Cultivation: Human establishment.

Name: Black thunder wolf.

Cultivation: Knight establishment.

'It seems this will be a bit of a challenge' Ed was nervous when he saw the cultivation and name of the black wolf.

”Becky you can kill the wolves that attack you but don't interrupt me when I'm fighting” Ed made sure to remind Becky, this was a special occasion to gain a lot of exp in one go.

Becky nodded and then Ed started his assault.

I changed the Two-sword style to Nitoryu, should i keep it that way or change it back?
