Chapter 5: The training (1/2)

After getting back from his market trip, Ed decided to check out his current state while training so he headed to the training grounds used by his family members.

While on his way, he met a handsome looking young man no older than him heading towards his father's room. He recognized this young as Griffin, the number one disciple of the glory sect. He was also the one that is most likely to reach the heavenly establishment in this sect.

While passing by Ed, Griffin greeted him with a smile ”Hello young master Edward”.

Ed couldn't help but return his greeting thinking that he was a cheerful fellow; however, he couldn't help but shake the feeling that something was wrong with him. It was just a feeling so he decided to let go of it and move on.

Finally, Ed got to the training grounds and then proceeded to try out his Murata-tou along with his One-sword style.

Although Ed never used a sword in his life he could feel like he was connected to his sword, sword movements kept popping up in his head one after the other.

He could now perform almost all basic sword skills such as overhead strikes and counter strikes, however, he could not perform the more complicated skills, as his was body was still too weak to perform them.

Ed kept training for about 2 hours and then started to rest. It was the most training he had done in his life, but the extra stats he got before helped him out. He even got extra stats in Str and Sta as well as Agl this time.

”System show me my stats currently”

Skills: One-sword style, Etiquette, Haggling.

Abilities: Sharingan, Spectral Shadow Steps.

Monsters: None.

Evaluation: a slight improvement, but you'll still have a hard time.

Ed felt a little disappointed that his evaluation didn't change for a bit. But he still got back to training after his res; this time he wanted to test the new sword he got and regretted not being able to use It alongside his Murata-tou.

”System, is there any way to learn how to use 2 swords?”

[Host can try to learn how to use them by continuous training or use the Upgrade card he got earlier]

Ed then remembered that he had gotten some cards when he used the Gacha for the first time.
