It did not take too long for Marcel to recover from his state of what he could only call full-body paralysis. Once he could sit up, Liam ran into his arms with tears in his eyes while Damien looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.

”Do you have some condition that makes this happen? Is it frequent? Will it affect your work?” Damien asked as he sat on one of the high stools in the kitchen.

”It's infrequent, don't worry. I just get nasty headaches, but it's the first time it's gotten this bad. It won't happen again,” Marcel answered, but to Avian it sounded like he was being scolded.

He hadn't thought he would have been able to impart that amount of information to Marcel, so he had been reckless. When he went to check he had realised that Marcel had completed the task he had been training for, so he had received an upgrade too.

It was not possible for him to get an assistant that would inform him of all the progress they were making, so he had a lot of things to focus his attention to. Inevitably, he would miss such an important notification.

”You should still get a checkup. It would be bad if this happened when you're on the job. And I still don't know if this is life-threatening. I'll tell Julia to supervise this,” Damien said as he looked at Marcel with his grey eyes.

”I promise I'm fine,” Marcel said as he stood up from the floor and stretched his aching muscles that were stiff from being tense as if they were trying to ease the headache that he had experienced with the overload of information.

”I will only accept a doctor's report. Make sure you go to the hospital before your next schedule,” Damien said as he stood up from the stool.

”Uncle Damien, are you leaving?” Liam asked Damien who had stood up and Damien nodded. He felt a bit disappointed, but he was glad that he had come over when he had needed him.

”Contact Julia and make arrangements for a checkup before your next schedule. Don't worry about Liam, I'll make sure to sort things out with the orphanage,” Damien said as he continued to look at Marcel as if to make absolutely sure that he was fine.

”Okay, since the boss wants it. I'll talk to Julia about this. I'm sorry for the inconvenience,” Marcel said as he sincerely apologized.

”Mmh, I'll see you around,” Damien said as he went to pick Liam up.

”Do you want to escort me to my car?” Damien asked Liam who nodded with a lot of enthusiasm. Marcel was then obligated to follow behind them like a third wheel so he could bring Liam back to the house.

As they were in the elevator on their way to the ground floor, Damien looked at Marcel with the intentions of asking him something important.

”Do you have friends?” Damien asked as he looked at Marcel curiously. Marcel shook his head in response. Although he knew Milly and Paul, he did not think he could categorise them as close friends.

”No friends? No one at the company besides Sherina that you know?” Damien asked curiously. He thought that having a friend in the industry would help a lot with popularity and new perspectives whenever a scandal broke out.

”No, not really,” Marcel said as he rested his weight on one leg.
